It was my understanding the new Samsung phones were going to have the FM tuner enabled again. The Galaxy S5 is supposed to have an FM tuner. Does anyone know if the Note 3 has one or not?

Thanks!

So if it doesn't isn't there an app for that. But honestly when was the last time you listened to terrestrial radio on you phone?

It would be nice to do something on the Note without being on WiFi or a Cell network.

Listening to a nice radio station while enjoying the creativity of the Note, that would be bliss!

I hope they have one on there. Its nice to use an app but apps dont always let you listen to sports games. I like my local announcers during the eagles games an the apps dont always stream the games

You are right, it was just something I never used on my phone but there must be a radio app you can d/l from the play store.

If it doesn't have fm radio support, then no app could add it, like on my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II. Yes, you can use Internet radio, but it isn't the same for me.

It is better. Tune in pro is great for listening to everything especially games. Check it out.

Sorry I didn't realize that, I never used the built in FM tuner's on other phones. Too bad.

I have used tune in radio pro, Spotify, Pandora, rdio, and slacker. While they serve their purpose, I still like to have a fm radio, one that doesn't require data, because sometimes I am at overloaded towers and data speed is very slow.

The fitness center I go to has FM to listen to the TV audio they have. Otherwise, TV with no sound is not too appealing.

It has the hardware support already built in. Hopefully a Mod OS will unlock it if the FM antenna files are locked by default.

FM radio will never work. Apart from apps there is no way.

Or buy Sony that has FM radio..

Would be good to have the option but not a fan of using the headset as the aerial. Always found them to be poor at play picking up a signal.

The radio stations suck in the UK anyways. Full of simon cowells manufactures artists.

Never had a FM radio since owning a Samsung device but all my HTC devices had one.

I love the FM tuner on my Motorola Photon and use it often. I am getting a Note 3 the second I can but I would miss the tuner if the Note comes without.

Specs say my the Note 2 has the same FM tuner as the Note 3 .... none of the apps for tuners work to enable the tuner. It has been blocked & am sure the Note 3 will have the same block on Verizon! What's up with that? I had a Thunderbolt before the S3 & FM worked great! Hope somebody cracks it!

Cheers, Jon

For the phones with a functioning FM tuner, how good is the reception, particularly indoors? I own a small MP3 player that I use in the gym. It has an FM tuner, but it's worthless indoors.

My Thunderbolt worked great indoors or out !
