Hi, my note 3 n900 exynos is not giving a good screen on time. I was easily getting 5.5+ hours on my note 2. My brightness is auto 0, using the phone on wifi + 3g, auto sync on, google now off, frequently used apps include facebook, twitter, bbm, whatsapp, and textra. And i haven't modded the phone in anyway, and i don't use any custom launchers. I'd definitely call myself a heavy user. Am i doing something wrong? Thankyou in advance. :)

Media Server is using a bit more battery than I'd expect. This can sometimes happen if there's a corrupt media file on your SD card. See what happens if you unmount the SD card (in Settings>Storage), remove it, and recharge. Then use the phone normally for a whole charge, and see if that changes anything. Hopefully your SD card isn't crucial to your usual activities.

Here is my battery results.

Is this considered normal or subpar?

The cell signal doesn't look that great during the whole period, so that might be contributing to some drain.

I don't have a Note 3. My suggestions are based on general battery-saving principles.

How's this?

This was today's results.

I made no changes except put it on power Save for about 2 hours.

Not too bad. You're on track for 6 hours of total screen-on time, if you were to continue using it the same way until the battery was down to 0.

I was extrapolating based on the numbers in that screenshot. 260 min/x = 73%/100%, solve for x.

I know we're all in different situations, but after owning my phone for a year I have a solution for battery life. My solve was to buy a new battery. Major improvement. I've never had any strange issues over this last year though, just normal battery wear I guess. Anyhow, maybe it's time for some to try getting a new battery and dropping it in.

I have had my phone for 7 months, and I have 3 batteries because I can't get though a day with one....

Are you getting 6 hours? I always thought it was a software issue!

With all due respect, I've been using the note 3 for quite some time now. The last time i got 6 hours was before kitkat. Math doesn't really help here!

Again, I was extrapolating. Maybe the Power Save option that he used for a couple of hours confounded things. I'm not disagreeing with or disputing you--I'm just trying to estimate things as best I can. Your input is valuable, since you have direct experience.

Please excuse any typos or autocorrect derps.

3 batteries? For real? Are you controlling some NASA satellites from your phone? Lol

I don't know man, my battery drains like no tomorrow, and android system is always between 30%-50% lol, but I ain't complaining because I still get though a full day with the 3 batteries 😉

Factory restore might help!
