Note 3 Obsession?

Omg guys! Brothers & Sisters of the Obssessed Breakfast Note 3 Club!! I went down to a ATT store (Im Tmobile) and they had one on display!!! I saw it and said AW MA GAWD, some kid was playing on it, I swiftly brushed him aside, and got to inspect my precious. The FIRST thing I said to myself when I picked it up was "Holy crap this thing is light!" and the screen was sooooo smooth, that GG3 is slick and smooth, it was everything I hoped and more, it had the 4k recording, I played with spen and the pop up window where you draw a window? man it was so cool, I was playing with it and a family walked up and asked me about it (I wear a shirt and tie at work and had freshly escaped from there so maybe they thought I worked there?) and I started selling them the phone lol. I don't even work there! I told them about the features, the world firsts, it being the fastest most advanced phone and how you can't even buy it yet...they ate it up...this phone is incredible, it was so fast, and so light! Did i mention it was light?? Im probably going back tomorrow if theyre open and playing with it some more...OCTOBER 2nd! CMONNN

I did something very similar yesterday evening here

I am guilty as well as many on this thread... I took a trip to the AT&T store today and had a bunch of time with the phone in my hands. Love every aspect of the devise... My only concern is the size. Coming from iPhone(s).... It's a HUGE difference. Talk to me... I would love to hear from those that felt the same making the switch from IOS to notes 1, 2 and the 3. I am more more excited to get away from IOS than I am concerned about the mega size difference.

Is it just a matter of time or will it always bug me?

Living in the OC... I spend so much time on the road. With Siri I can do alot without ever looking at my phone. My past exp with S Voice has not been so great. I could care less about iTunes and photos... I can work around all that stuff. I think it's a SIZE thing to overcome more than anything..

Please share some thoughts...

Kind regards...
BH

I'm on Sprint but just made my appointment to pick up my Note 3 on Friday.

I currently have the Note 2. I came from the Gnex, a 4.7 inch phone, and prior to that, a NS4G which was 4.3 inches. It took all of 10 minutes to get used to the size. It was a refreshing change for me. I think you will be fine with it. Everyone who I know that went to the Note 2 suffered the same anxiety, but was quickly relieved once they used the phone on a daily basis.

Good luck and let everyone know how you like it. :)

I have not yet seen in any video if the Note 3 has the neat Flare effect swipe from the S4. Can anyone confirm this? I know it is a small thing but I really think it is neat and since I can't get it on my Note 2 or Note 8, I am hoping that the Note 3 will have it.

Sometimes it's the little things that make us happy. :)

Bluehair, the phone is huge. You do get a 14 day trial with it though, so you may be able to adjust to it. Your iPhone is smaller than the screen even with an iphone case. The Note 3 will be a definite adjustment for you. I am getting a car cradle just because I usually have my Titan in my pocket till someone calls me. Then I struggle a little bit to get it out. The Note3 will be worse. If you have a case it will just make it that much bigger. Not saying you will not be able to adjust, but its huge compared to an iPhone. If you have a 4s its and even bigger difference.

Visual Phone Size Comparison

You can calibrate the size of the phone on the screen to be actual size too. N3 is 20mm taller than mine and 9mm wider. ITs 8grams heavier but amazingly 1.5mm thinner.

I am beyond stoked for the Note 3! Tired of Verizon and them always being last to the table though :(.

They are not always last ....but on the note series they seem to like to be

Yeah, I did get $400 out of mine and that paid for the upgrade, a 64 GB memory card, a Spigen case, and a pack of screen protectors with money left over. So in a way I'm glad I sold it as early as I did while there weren't five million on Craigslist or FB. But I'm SOL as finding a phone to hold me over until then. I'm just going to have to tough it out. Next week can't get here soon enough. I'm so excited for this phone.
Where did you sell your previous phone ? if you don't mind me asking.

Bluehair, you may want to give the Google search version a try instead of s voice. I'm so not a fan of that myself. As for coming from an iPhone, you will be down right in shock for a while. But that will turn into a love.

I was dreading the S Pen not being flush like it is on the Note 2 but it surprisingly didn't look that bad. Did you find the new S Pen difficult to remove and replace? My local AT&T corporate store had a white one on display and I tried out removing and replacing the Pen several times only to find it more difficult to grasp than the one for the Note 2. Pulling it out wasn't as smooth as the 2, either.

I'm also going to say the white back comes off as cheap-feeling textured plastic made to look like leather. I'm really hoping the black one isn't the same and feels like reports say!

I did notice it wasn't as easy to take the pen out but there were times on the Note 2 where it fell out and maybe making it not as easy to slip out is a good thing, Im also hoping the black cover feels better than the white, but I have been eyeing the s view cover, i didn't know it replaced the stock back cover, and those are leather plus have functionality, I cant seem to find original ones for sale, you would think theyd be on the samsung site by now, I also heard about one with wireless charging but I have to do more research on that before I buy it

Okay I am extremely obsessed. Watch all new and old you tube videos. Check cnn news daily. Check forums. Check reviews. I am wanting the pink one really bad. Not sure if I should wait or if I can wait. Does anyone know if the pink gn3 is coming in the united states and if so when. And I also live in texas

To be the bearer of bad news, it is expected to arrive fashionably late to this party.... That's the current rumor I've heard anyways

I've been without android/smartphone for the last 9 months, I've been waiting for a good phone to come, something that will be the king for a while (like my S2 was)... this is it!

Getting one thursday, but I will check the screen brightness first, that dullness among things ruled out the S4 easily. I did read that the Note 3 is brighter than the S4. (I also tipped this to outsell the S4)

(my S2 developed a problem from a genuine but self-replaced screen after 6 months, I misinterpreted the problem and made it worse/it's dead now lol)

My first post at Android Central. I laughed when I saw this thread, because I've been obsessed with the Note 3 for a few months now, when it was still just a speculation. I was tempted to go with the S4, but I wanted the larger screen. The Note 2's screen resolution wasn't enough, but I must have the S Pen, since I'm an artist, so the Note 3 is the only choice in the world for me.

I'm using the iPhone 4 currently, and I was dragged into the world of Apple kicking and screaming, since I needed fast real-time audio performance for music-making apps (I'm also a composer) and that was one of Android's weaknesses. With the Note 3, I'm finally going to get the hell away from Apple (always hated their marketing and snobby attitude). Can't stand Mac's either.

Searching for news/info about the Note 3 has been a daily ritual for the last few months--especially before bedtime. I just read the user's manual today to familiarize myself with all of its functions and settings. Just a couple more weeks (I'm going with Ting, so it'll be behind Sprint's date). It feels great to be among other obsessed folks--people who understand.

I think for me, I'm changing from Sprint which has sucky to mediocre service here but horrible, horrible speeds, to Verizon which has LTE blanketed all around me and coverage errywhere, which only be a few bucks more d/t switching to my parents plan w/ large discount, is what excites me. I was really excited about the S4 and coming from a HTC device (Evo 4G LTE), and the recent news of HTC, I have no doubt the One is a great phone but there's too many questions about them going forward in my opinion. And I'm a huge multi-tasker but 1GB is just not enough for multi-tasking nowadays. If I start Skype and go do something else, it literally closes Skype every time. It's so annoying. So being that the Note 3 is a beefier S4, and being that I'm lazy typing notes into Google Keep (go go Spen!), I think this will be a powerhouse device to really feed my needs. And especially on a network that can handle it (just have to be weary of data usage but my max is usually 5-6GB which should be fine with an 8GB plan).
