Note 3 or Lgg2. . . I know not again

The few pics I've taken with my G2 were surprisingly good to me, but I'm not too demanding. I have a DSLR I use when quality is an issue.
I need to get me one of those but most of them are expensive af. I took a photography class in HS, I'm pretty good with them and they'd definitely replace my phone in a lot of situations.

The first thing that caught my eye about the X was that the screen seemed a bit small for what I've gotten used to. Then I noticed that plastic bezel around the screen and something about it, perhaps it's shiny-ness, turned me off. ...but I like all the customizing you can do with colors.

I'd go with a black front and a navy back with silver accents. ...Dark like that.

Nice. It also seemed kind of weird looking to me at first but after using one I liked it. All black + red accents would be good if they didn't look pink like they do on the website

Nice...something kinda evil about that...I like it!

I don't know what the big deal is with all the touchwiz haters...it works perfectly, as long as you don't use the giant-size icon EZ version. It's not really much different from my previous phones (BlackBerry) and it's intuitive, fast and simple. Things would be better and faster if Google or SamDung would implement more gesture driven commands, but aside from that, Touch Wiz works fine.

My G2 that I got as a replacement for my lost dark G2 is white. I'm trying to love it as much as I loved my dark one, but it's still a nice phone. It feels really good in the hand. ...and I just love the performance and knock-knock. ...just wish it was the dark color.

Did you have a choice or did they just send you a random replacement? I'd be mad if it was a diff. color

Oh I was mad, but white was all they had. They were like, "Well, you can wait and see if we get any dark ones in...one day." I was NOT happy with A$$urion, but I'll live with it (can't believe I'm saying that). Based on that I can't really recommend them.

The 3GB RAM doesn't make a difference in the Note 3, since it's taken up by TouchWiz.

You keep saying this but if TW is the problem how come the S4 can run it just fine without 3GB RAM?

The S4's TW and the Note 3's ROM are not the same thing.

I guess if I didn't have another phone to use I'd have taken it. Did they charge you for the replacement?

Oh yes. $200 beans. Truth is, I did have another phone, my LG Optimus G Pro. I could have waited...but I'm secure in my manhood. White is fine...I think...I guess.

When I look at both phones, the UI looks pretty darn similar. My research reveals that the main reason for the additional GB of RAM is necessary for the multitasking features that are featured in the Note 3. I'm curious as to what the difference is between the UIs.

Hahaha. I haven't used my insurance but I believe it's $175 for a replacement. Definitely sticking with Black from now on.

UI isn't the same as the ROM

Okay, so how is this...

...relevant to this?
UI is what you see. They're basically the same with a few slight changes and added options on the Note 3.
The ROM is different because it's made for a different phone. The Note 3 has newer hardware so the software is used differently on it than on the S4. Plus, the Note uses the S-Pen and all of it's features. The S4 doesn't have any of those

THANK you. What you said supports my assertion that it is NOT Touchwiz UI that eats up the extra GB of RAM. It's the multitasking that uses these resources, not the UI. If the G2 had an active PS stylus and all of its fuctionality, GG capabilities, and other functions the GN3 is capable of, it would not survive on 2GB of RAM, regardless of the UI.

What do you mean by true flagship? Moto X is one of the best phones right now
It's mostly the form factor that makes me want this phone otherwise I'd go Nexus

I mean 5"+ HD screen, Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2gb RAM, 3000+ mAh battery. Does moto make that?
