What is making the screen turn on & off when charging at nite?
Plug the phone in & the screen comes on I shut it off with power button & in a couple seconds the charge lite goes out and then the charge lite and screen come on. This keeps happening repeatedly every few seconds. In morning phone is charged & no screen flashing
I have checked for Dev screen on, Air gesture etc is turned off, gps off and anything else I can figure might trigger this at nite & tried 3 different micro usb chargers
Doesnt happen when charging during the day with same chargers
Have scoured the web & cant find anything about this so Im thinking I have an odd problem going on
Any help appreciated

Perhaps you can try another AC outlet. The outlet that you plug your charger in may not be supplying current constantly.

Does it have any info onscreen or normal lock screen? If it's not lockscreen maybe it's the daydream feature...settings..display...daydream?

Re: Screen flashes when charging at nite

Thanks for the responses
What I found out so far is the chargers that I was using when the problem started are around 1 amp output
Haven't had any problem using these on any other phone for over nite charge
I have sense tried a couple others that are 1.5 & 1.8 amp and am having no problem
So the phone must be sensitive to anything less than a 1.5 amp charger

This is also happening to me and it's a recent occurance. Nothing has changed.... except my GS4 recently had an OS up grade. The charger and outlet are the same ones I have been using for last 6 months.

Any ideas?

There's an app that went errant because of the update. There are 2 things to try.

Get Gsam Battery monitor from the Play store and monitor which app is popping on randomly so you can clear its cache and data. It will tell you, you just have to play with it. OR, you can back up everything and do a factory reset.
