Note 3 won't connect to PC

Can someone please help me before I break this phone. I have a Note 3, it is rooted.Whatever the reason may be it will not connect to Kies and my computer doesn't recognize it anymore. It used to connect to the computer sometimes,but now I've been fighting it for 2 days and ready to throw it against a wall. I f anyone has any useful info please chime in. Thanks......

Tried that numerous times, nothing seems to get this thing connected to my pc or any pc for that matter.

Try switching cords or a different USB port... I had the same problem and then switched cords and it worked like a charm.

That doesn't work either, weird thing is that my Note 2 and my S4 will connect with the computer, using same cord and same USB outlet. Im stomped

Switching USB cords worked for me. I used a much more substantial one.
