Note 4 audio cutting out

Recently I have started to notice my audio cutting out/skipping about every 4-6 minutes for a few seconds, but only on my wired headphones I have already tried other headphones, soft reset and searching through forums. I currently have a note 4 running Android 5.1.1 any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Make sure the jack is completely clean--use a can of compressed air to blow it out.

Are all headphones you're trying known to be compatible with Android devices, or are they all specifically "Made for iPhone"? The latter can cause some incompatibility.
