Note 4 Fingerprint scan option disappeared while locked-backup password doesn't work

I locked my screen as usual, then went to unlock with my fingerprint and after several failed attempts it asked for my back up password.
My backup password failed to work as well.
Now the fingerprint scanner doesn't even show and the password isn't working...I don't want to lose my data in a factory reset.
Any solutions?

Welcome to Android Central! If you fail the password enough times, does it threaten to wipe the phone, or does it ask you for your Google credentials?
