Note 4 Just jealous.....

Re: Just jealous.....

So? I have since left AT&T and on t-mobile and this opinion is based on new customers

Just saying that's why I prefer Verizon. I can use my unlimited data unrestricted as opposed to AT&T.

If I didn't have unlimited data on Verizon, I'd switch to T-Mobile.

How is that a plus for Verizon? Yeah they don't throttle it right now, but you know dang well for the last year+ they've had a team of lawyers trying every possible way to get rid of your unlimited data entirely. Whether they succeed or not, I struggle to support a company that spends all of their resources trying to screw me.

Why would they need to hire a team of lawyers to end unlimited? None of us that are using unlimited are in contract anymore. We are month to month meaning we can jump ship to another carrier today without penalty. That also means that Verizon could end our unlimited plans whenever they felt like it, but they know we'll leave if they do.

I don't worry about what might happen in the future, I just care about what I have now, and that's unrestricted unlimited data on Verizon. If I need to switch to another carrier in the future then I can do so any day I please - and I will.

Verizon Wireless may have network coverage, but the customer service is lacking. I also don't like to deal with a carrier that only allows "approved" devices on their network. I like the options that I have for BYOD on GSM networks.

Re: Just jealous.....

We need a sticky thread for those of us on Verizon to whine.

:(

Customer Service aside and Everything ... MY point is T-mobile with Verizon coverage basically? ... I'll take that i could care less about the "Approvals" they do. Just a hypothetical situation. T-mobile Plans, Prices but with Verizon Coverage Sign me up.

Re: Just jealous.....

I switched from Tmo to Verizon once and didn't even make it 4 months before I switched back. First, I was paying $30 more per month for the same amount of minutes and data. Second, nearly every month I'd be charged a $10 overage fee because VZW has random processes/apps running in the background that use your data. So even if I was diligent about MY data, those damn background processes would push me over. Third, the store/phone reps were absolute boneheads. One tried to tell me that Android System taking up 40% of my battery was NORMAL. A phone rep was helping me get a device switched over because I was having problems using the site. Once we got to a certain point it was clear to me what to do next. I said "Oh, I see. I click the link on the top right of the page, correct?" She screamed at me "NO, I'LL TELL YOU WHAT TO DO!!!! Now, click the link on the top right of the page..." I paid the ETF after 4 months and went right back to T-Mo.

You could have rooted your phone and possibly removed or quarantined their bloat ware or installed a custom rom. That would have fixed your problem but the way you handled it is o.k. too.
