Note 4 - Post your battery life screens and info

Has anyone used the ultra power saving mode? Does it really work as advertised?

Haven't used it yet but good to know its there in case my Note 4 is about to die

I use it at night my battery loses 0-1% when in use while I sleep.

I was on wifi alot the day i took this screenshot, lost about two hours on the time the next day being at work and on the cell towers all day. So it makes it though a day and i used it how i wanted, bluetooth on all day, push notifications from Gmail, Facebook, amazon,....etc. So I'm impressed by the battery life.

Re: Note 4 Post your battery life screens and info

So I originally posted this first picture. Of 6h+ screen time with 20h+ total time. Until today. I installed Nova prime. I used to love it so much. But after this I immediately uninstalled it. My use was the same as the day before. No gaming no videos. Same cell reception. Just a warning to anyone else. Or if someone can give their usage with Nova. I literally didn't add any other apps etc. Just Nova, Nova prime, and the Nova notifications plugin to show the little red numbers on the corner of emails, text messages, etc.

*Edit: Can't post images, new to the forum (forgot this wasn't xda).

New stats w/ Nova: 7h44m total, and 3h screen time at 30% left.

Old stats w/o Nova: 20h total, 6h10m screen time at 5%

I think you must have had some background process stuck. I'm using Nova Prime and my battery life has been pretty excellent. Always over 6+ screen on time and around 20+ hours total. I do not use the notifications plugin though. Wondering if thats the culprit by chance?

Can anyone tell me what the code was to get the half price battery set up from samsung? I looked but can't locate the appropriate thread. Thanks.

Re: Post your battery life screens and info

Why am I getting bad battery with stand by. I am on AT&T as well… Do they really need the update or what?!

The phone was 100% before I went to bed with the wifi on though.

I did use the camera a bit in the morning and do other simple things with the phone like to check a couple things. Also Google Play did some updates to apps in the phone, but nothing too crazy.

I was thinking, do you think S Health was using the battery during this time? Is there any way to have it not drain the battery.

Also I had Power save battery turned on as well.

Your screenshots are showing the phone waking when the screen is off which is draining the battery. To get a better hold on what it is download wakelock detector. It will show you exactly what is waking the phone up in its sleep.

Re: Post your battery life screens and info

Yesterday was the first day my phone had horrible battery life I barely used it and it was about to die around 3pm. Looked at this post and checked out my battery info and Google Play Services is at the top of the list 50%. Charged my phone to 100% before i went to bed. when i woke up Google Play Services was at 80% and lost about 30% battery. Is this normal? sure dont seem like Google play services is drawing battery life from everyone else that much. What did i do to trigger this and what is Google play services. i came from Ios.

It's normal since google service is known to be battery hogs, although not everybody will have this problem.

wipe the cache, then
disable background sync
disable auto update
turn off data when not in use (like before going to bed)

Now I must admit I did not use my phone nearly as much as I usually do. Work was a little bit busy. I did some searching, downloaded Nova, social networking, played with the s pen, and so on.

It can have issues with cache just like any other app... But I wouldn't say it's known to be a hog. I always have syncs on.. On every phone.. And don't run into this problem.

well, good battery life takes effort, I can't say its a lot of effort, but reward is pretty good IMHO.

Sorry this is my note 3, I think Note 4 should do even better than these.

Tried the ultra power saving mode yesterday. Pretty neat. It's all grey mode and can only do a few things like text and Internet.

It will be handy if I'm out, forget my charger and phone about to die.

At 35% battery left, I turned on ultra power saving mode. And said I will have 5 days and 18 hrs left on that charge! . Craziness

I think you just solved my riddle. I was started to think about going back to my OnePlus One. I will uninstall Nova and see how that affects battery life. I really hope that it solves my problem; however, I also kind of don't becuase I love Nova :-\

Here's my battery info....I've had the phone for a little over 24hrs because Verizon. Additionally, it charges insanely fast. Plus, I've been using it quite a bit however, I'm not 100% overly impressed with the battery life and that's what the Samsung extra battery and charging thing are for I suppose. I'm just not too stoked to have to swap batteries.

Here is my battery life so far. I have not been able to get anything better than this. I believe I have everything turned off that I do not use however I have seen some people getting better results. I use wifi 95% of the time with gps and bluetooth turned off. My usage is all web browsing on chrome and S-Note brainstorming. I am happy with the batter life but any suggestions for pushing it further would be helpful. Thank you!
PS. I love this thing! EDIT: I finished this day at 1% with about 5 hrs Screen On Time.

I have a question, I know we should close the apps in the task manager in the home screen to prevent from apps running, now, do I also need go to application manager and close programs that are running? I ask because today I wanted to see what the big difference is to have the screen brightness at 50% (I always have it at 100%) and see no big difference about it. Right now is at 40% battery with 8 hrs. Screen time is 2 hours and 50 mins. Sorry no screenshot, dont know how to.

I'm happy with the battery thus far.
