Do you have the Power Sharing app installed?

No I do not. I just went to charge my phone and my screen was glitch in showing the Samsung vr gear. I took it to Verizon they couldn't help me . They said it was a software issue.

I would for sure check with Samsung then. The power sharing is a Samsung function.

Odds are the first thing they will say is to do a reset. They do have an app where they can remote in your phone and look through all the settings.

You could also email the developer in the Play Store at the bottom of the app page.

I couldn't find the app by searching the Play Store because it isn't compatible with my phone. I had to do a Google search to get a link to the Play Store for the app.

I found this about the Note 3. Samsung covers the chargers under warranty, read this to them and ask them to send you a new cord and block. He you tried a different charger with it or even just a different cord and see if you get this issue?

Problem: My phone hasn’t seemed to charge well the last two days so I decided to turn the phone off and back on again. My phone did not shut off completely but shut down and rebooted with a message saying: Power Sharing, You must download the app in order to control the amount of power shared. If you connect your device to another device with the Samsung Power Sharing Cable EP-SG900 without the app, the entire battery amount will be tranferred to the other deivice. Connect to Samsung Apps and download the application.

Solution: In most cases this issue is caused by a faulty charger. If you are not using the original wall charger then try using it. If you are using the original wall charger then try replacing it with a new one. It either the USB cable or the charger that has gone bad.

Reboot your phone taking out the battery and reinserting it. Before turning your phone on connect it to the wall charger. Turn your phone on and let it charge. The error message should dissapear by now.

Sorry for my english, it isn't good ,I have just learning english for 2 month, I think maybe I found how to fix this trouble, the first is your device is rooted, then install Titanium Backup, provide root permission for app, into app>chose [backup/restore]>find "power sharing">click and freezen it>done, check you charge and USB with a PC or laptop , thanks for read.
I hope you can fix that trouble like me :)

I don't think this is a hardware problem, because both my 2 Note 4's just started having this problem on all 4 of my chargers. I solved the problem by spending $1.95 for an app called Package Disabler, which is only for non-rooted Samsung phones. It let's you disable apps and some system files. Disabling the 3 Gear VR files and Power Sharing resolved the problem on both my phones. Good luck

I just had this same problem with my galaxy note 4. I went to my applications. Selected ALL Applications. And turned off Samsung Galaxy. Cleared the date & forced it stop. My phone has been free of the glitch ever since
