Note 4 : randomly opens apps

What would cause apps to randomly open? I'm new to the Note 4, coming from S5. Love the phone, and wow, the battery lasts me 17 hours. Loving that part. Its the opening apps that have me baffled. Is it more sensitive to the touch?

Running an app may require a process in another app. It all depends on what you mean by ""open". In the background? That's normal (although by choosing the right apps, you can minimize it). Popping up on the screen blocking the app you want to be running? That's not, and there could be a number of causes, like malware, or the app you're using is ad-supported, and the ad appears like another app.

Hey Jasburyy. Are you holding the phone when this happens. I have the same issue at times.
What happens to me is my hand or fingers touch the screen, even lightly, and an app will open from the screen I'm on. This happens when I'm holding the phone.

Am having similar issue on my note 4. Started after last security update. Unlock the screen and a random app appears from the play store. Last week it was Uber, never has been nstalled. This week it is Zoosk. Never installed. Just unlock the screen and it appears as if I asked to install it. Def from the play store. Did a cache clear. Really hoping to avoid another factory reset. Any ideas? All help appreciated . Thanks.
