Note 4 ... SD Card ... what to choose

Yes difference is transfer speed. If you go through best buy I know they are on sale. Price match with amazon though. It is even cheaper that way.

Just picked up this beast from best buy. They priced matched amazon so I got this for 37 bucks. 55 on amazon minus a $20 best buy rewards coupon plus tax. Sweeeeeet

FYI guys..I bought a Samsung 64gb evo. It was a dud. Returning to amazon. I went to a vzw store and they pit an sdcard in and it worked.
So for sure it was the card and not the phone.

Very good points/info.

A lot of people think because they moved part of, or maybe one app to the sd card, that all apps can be moved to the sd card.. IMO, no way. I use my sd card storage for movies, personal vids, pictures and music..I heard the Notes can't read but 30something so that 90 or higher, IMO, can't be utilized. I have been using the Sandisk 64gb Ultra, no problems whatsoever. I think people that have problems, could have one of those fakes, don't format the card in the phone, and/or disconnect when writiing...

I got the 128, that is overdamkill to be truthful. That $31.99 deal for 64gb sd class 10 is the best deal going IMO. I paid 3 times and more for the 128, and I don't have 3 times space or 3 times the performance of the 64gb. However, I do have 128gb BRAGGING RIGHTS!!

I don't know why everyone thinks 128gb is too much. If you carry lossless music and shoot high-def photos and vids, it's not nearly enough.

SanDisk is complete garbage. Get anything but SanDisk, they're the worst.

Hmmm... My SanDisk Extreme worked great in my Note 3 and continues to work great in my Note 4. My SanDisk Ultra works great in this S5. Perhaps I'm just lucky?

I bought a 32gb Sandisk for my Note 2 a few years ago. It quit working after 3 months, and trying to get it replaced through Sandisk, they never sent me the replacement.

Soooo, I am trying out the Samsung cards this time. Ordered this View attachment 140574

I think you made a very good choice. I've never had a problem with Samsung cards.

I have Samsung EVO 64GB too. And I am getting 40MB/s read and 20MB/s write speeds with it. Which is more than enough for Note 4.

Have a note4 have bought every 128gb sd card an none of the function right. My samsung 64gb card works GREAT. But I need 128...I've already filled the 64 I NEED MORE SPACE Y WONT THEY WORK ON MY PHONE

Purchase many movies from google play a intend on filling up my128gb micro sd card but it won't register the sd card forces onto my internal memory.I've even set my settings to store on external sd card

From what I've read I wondered if the 128GB cards were really compatible with the Notes. I guess some are using them without trouble.

I'm using the Samsung 128GB EVO card without a problem.

The 64GB Samsung PRO? Yes, I have two of them...and they work great.

The 64GB EVO is also great, but you will see the difference between the PRO and the EVO if you are transferring a large number of files or large files. I just copied 50 GB of video to one of my two 64GB PRO cards and it was far quicker than with older cards that I have. Granted, I had the card out of the phone and was using a USB 3.0 card reader. I can also skip through a 20 GB MKV video file on the card with almost no apparent delay using VLC. Of course, most of my video files will be smaller, but I wanted a larger one for test purposes...and for eye candy. ;)

I wish they had a 128GB version of the PRO, but they do not. They have a 128GB version of the EVO, but many reviewers claim it is noticeably slower than the 64GB EVO. 64GB appears to be the sweet spot at the moment...and the EVO is a bargain that will work well for most folks. Of course, if you don't mind the added expense, the PRO is even better.

BTW, I went with this card because I have had terrible luck with Sandisk cards and the reviews for the Samsung were so stellar. So far so good. :)
