Note 5 Keeps restarting. Sometimes Black screen appears but phone is still ON

Hi,

Im having this frustrating issue where by Galaxy Note 5 keeps restarting itself.

Most of the time, when im trying to check my notifications, i would press POWER button or home button, then it will just appear as BLACK SCREEN. Then it restarts by itself.

Weird thing is that when the screen is Black, you can hear or feel the sound/vibration of a message coming in which means the phone is still on.

I tried to reset to factory settings and even installed S8 Rom hoping it might fix it

BUT NO LUCK. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Welcome to the forums. This might be a hardware issue, with storage or RAM. Do you have a local repair shop that can check this out for you?

Are you rooted? Possibly issues with custom install.

nope. this was with the original nougat release by samsung/android. I downloaded via phone update. hoping its not a hardware issue tho.
