I got my Note 5 today and noticed it said the Marshmallow update is now available to download. The AT&T store guy recommended waiting to make sure they work out any bugs or kinks. Anyone waiting or has anyone update to it already and if so how's the Note 5 working.

I'm not sure about that one. That update isn't going to be out for a while. Are you sure that's the update because a different one did go out a couple of weeks ago?

If u read on Droid life etc any android info site. Somebody got the marshmallow update.

Well I don't know that it's Marshmallow the att rep said it was. I just opened it today out of the box.

So has anyone done the update that's out right now? And if so, how is it? Considering my luck with updates from AT&T I'm very leary of doing it.

I picked up an AT&T Note 5 today as well. It was on 5.1.1 out of the box. I checked for an update after reading this thread and it's downloading now. I have no idea what it's for though. I guess we'll see... Screenshot_2015-11-16-19-30-06.jpg

This is probably the same update everyone received with the battery optimization features.

Yep. Security update and bug fixes. Definitely NOT Marshmallow.

I was up this morning and saw it had downloaded it on its own. Still says 5.1.1 so not Marshmallow like you guys said.

The battery optimization update generated a constant sim card error for me for hours. Had to call and have my phone totally reprovisioned... Sprint, unrooted...

Since i did the 5.1.1 my battery actually dies faster i was gettin 8hrs on screen time now im at 6.5hrs

I wouldn't plan on seeing Marsh-mellow for carrier branded Note 5s for a while. The carriers always like to take their time.

Actually if it was the marshmellow update, the download size would say 1320.49MB not 132.49MB. its just another death star update.

What's so great about the Marshmallow upgrsde? Anything special coming with it?
