I think that would make it worse. I really just want to simplify my tech. Choose a platform and be done with it.This might be a bad suggestion, but what about getting a second line and have that be the iPhone line? Keep the Note, and you can dual wield devices...![]()
Using the Note is cheaper and easier. Because I don't need to have a secondary device. With my iPhone I do. But that secondary device is the best device I have ever used in the iPad. So it's a constant tug of war between the sides.I've been there, done that. I'm now running with my Note 5, and my iPad Air II.
Seriously, it isn't compulsory to have an iPhone to compliment the iPad. I used to think that, too. Plus, I don't use iMessage or Facetime now; albeit, I have the option via my iPad if it is needed...
I understand what you are saying. And you make a good point. But using both isn't a possibility for me. That would just aggravate me to death. The sexy thing for me would be to use my Note for everything. And that's how I have used my Notes in the past. But then, the idea of an iPad creeps in and I want it back. I don't really care about the iPhone. But the iPad is seductive. And what makes the iPad even better is when you use it in conjunction or an extension of the iPhone. The problem with having an iPhone and iPad is that I have to manage both devices. I don't want to do that either. If I could just use an iPad for everything including making calls my problem would be solved.I think you just need to get over it. I usually switch between iPhone and an Android phone every other year, but I still keep my iPad. For me, each device has it's use. My phone is for when I'm out and about. My iPad is for when I'm at home and want to relax and not jump onto my desktop. If you are having a difficult time with both devices, just try to set a "purpose" for each device like I have. Maybe that'll help you to "get over it" and start using your iPad again. Also, it might help to have apps that are compatible with both devices if that is something you need to do. Maybe if you want to share notes between devices you can use OneNote. Sync your contacts and calendars, etc., etc..
You need to "individualize" things. So, just set a purpose for each device and use each accordingly. Ok, that'll be $400. Now get off my couch.... next!
That would drive me nuts. You couldn't be me, could you?
I use an iPad Air II, BlackBerry Passport, BlackBerry Z30, Note 5, and iPhone 6 Plus; not in that order.
Yep, welcome to my world...
It doesn't work that way for me. I will see how I feel about it after another week. I haven't touched my iPad since I got the Note 5. I'm hoping that I won't miss it. Then all will be good.Just keep both. You don't need a iPhone and a iPad in my opinion. Now you have the neat of both worlds with the Note 5 and the iPad. I would say your set up pretty nicely.

That's my problem. I do too. And it just isn't the money I waste which is substantial. It's the time I waste getting myself set up with a different platform. The aggravation of changing over everything so it works well. My friends think I'm crazy with this phone stuff. That's OK. Everyone is different. I just left the iPhone 6s plus for the note 5. I buy phones like a crackhead buys Crack so I know how it is. Goodluck with your choice.
