Note 5 vs iPhone 6s

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

Are you serious? 30 minutes? So... if you get your brand new device and your wife calls you as soon as you get it and talks to you for 30 minutes and when you get home, you realize that your phone is defective, you are now unable to return it?

If it's defective then you can exchange regardless. It's the buyers remorse period that is the 30 min basically.

So you can't change your mind after 30 minutes of talking? That's unbelievable.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

There are a few of us on the MacRumors forums that can relate to this. But, we take it way too far. In 2014, I had 19 smartphones; in 2015, I am currently at 22 smartphones. However, there are TWO that stood out to me and I can't decide which one to keep as my daily driver...and they are...none other than the iPhone 6S Plus and Note 5. :( Right now, I'm rocking the 6S Plus. Probably gonna stick with it until the S7 comes out in early 2016.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I gave up that silly idea long ago.. I keep my Iphone 6S+ for my "official" phone... It is the number I give out to people and I keep a 2nd (or 3rd) Android that I keep rotating through. I just got rid of the Turbo 2 and the LG V10 in the last week and am going "old school" and just got the Nexus 6 today.. I was going to get the 6P but I got this for much less money and I love the size...

The best Non-Iphone in 2015 for me is the V10 that actually was a phone I thought of dumping the Iphone for.....

Well guess who's back on a Note 5. The pull was just too strong. Still have my iPhone on my Verizon line. Picked up a Note 5 on AT&T today. And so it begins...AGAIN.

Btw try ordering a kindle book through the iOS ecosystem.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I used to be like this, I was having trouble deciding, so I went with everything and couldn't be happier, I love sim swapping between a Nexus 5, iPhone 6, Lumia 1020/640 and a HTC One. When I'm not chatting on Hangouts on a Nexus 7, I play Xbox games on my Dell Venue 8 Pro and then grab my MacBook for some iTunes or Pixelmator fun, or if I'm bored I'll play a game of AOE 2 on my Dell 2 in 1. Occasionally I'll fire up the iPad and play Infinity Blade. Sometimes I just chill and read a book on my Kindle Paperwhite..

My point is, there is so much good technology out there, you cant just be part of 1 eco system. Its fun to be everywhere.

Wow, thats approx. two phones per month in 2015.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I actually enjoy both platforms and have the 6P and the 6S Plus. Instead of choosing one over the other I just got a T-Mobile Prepaid Sim Kit and started the $30 per month plan and carry both phones. Whichever phone I feel like I want to use a given day/week, I put my main sim in and other phone gets the prepaid.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

Yeah,, I'm a phone junkie too,,, I've owned every model iPhone ever made and every model Note ever made,,, at this exact moment I'm owning the Note 5, just traded in my iPhone 6s for the Note,, I love both phones.
The good thing is when it comes to tablets the iPad is the clear winner for me, I have an Air 2, an iPad mini and my iPad pro gets delivered in a few days.
(I'm not a big fan of Android tablets) the ones I had I sold and kept my iPads.
I use an app called Photo Transfer to load all my pictures and videos into either device, videos I take with my Note 5 I load into my iPad to edit with iMovie,,, using the Note 5 with my iPads works great,,, but I do miss my iPhone 6S at times.
Cheers

I agree with you about the iPad. I loved my iPad Air 2. However, I do feel that I haven't given Android tablets a fair shot. I haven't owned an Android tablet since the Nexus 7 and I didn't have that long. With the Note 5, I don't feel like I need a tablet. I've been doing fine without one.

I wish I could be like this but I can't. Being on both platforms simultaneously would drive me crazy. But, I like my current setup for now. All-in with the Note 5.

Think I'm going to stay away from the forums for a while. Reading these threads and posts are working against. Adios for now.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

In my household we have Android, Windows phone, Windows 10 laptop and iOS devices. For watching YouTube and video games on my television, I have a Playstation. I used to have a BlackBerry. I've never felt the need to pick one platform and stay on it. I think it's great to have choice and since my job involves providing technical support for customers with all sorts of devices, keeping up with the variety of platforms that are out there is important to me.
