Note 5 vs iPhone 6s

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

For the first time in years and I'm talking about 2009 I totally dig what I have. I have absolutely no urge to return to the iPhone. Not a single ounce of regret to be on Android and the Note 5. Was setting up Spotify on my wife's 6S Plus last night. Was nothing to me. Love the Note

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I'm getting irritated with myself because I keep switching back and forth between the two platforms. I just want to make a decision already and stick with it. Had the iPhone 6S on launch weekend. Nothing wrong with it. Really enjoyed it actually. And it complemented my iPad Air 2 perfectly. But yesterday was day 13 of my 14 day return window and I panicked. Went out and exchanged it for the Note 5. Bought a case, screen protector, and wireless charger. So, I'm all in. Haven't touched my beloved iPad since. Now here is the problem. When I use the note, I don't want to use any complementary devices. After a while, I miss my iPad and I want to switch back, but I need the iPhone to go with it. I have been doing this for years. And it's making me feel quite ridiculous. But I can't choose. And I don't know why.

Welcome to my world Dude. You are not alone. :(

Let's hope that it sticks. I have said similar things in the past only to switch again. And I would also like to see what happens when we get Marshmallow. If the performance suffers, it will be hard to resist the justified opportunity to switch to something else. And then, there is the barrage of smartphones that will be released in the first half of next year. When we see what goodies are unveiled then, will we be able to resist?

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

Nice to see I'm not the only crazed phone junkie around. I'm REALLY hoping I can beat my personal best for keeping a phone with this Note 5. It certainly has everything going for it. I think all I have to do is STOP reading about all the stuff coming out. That's what gets me thinking (a very bad thing). lol. Shoot, this must be what it feels like to be an addict, always waiting for that next fix. I refuse to think about any other phone and I will NOT read about any either. When Iget the urge, I'll pull out my Blackberry Passport for a while and play with it. :p

That's hard to do. I swear off the forums and tech sites all the time. But, I haven't been successful obviously. I have even gone to the phone store to checkout new phones, which isn't a good idea either. I'm only two months in which is a small feat. My goal is to make it until the next upgrade which will be this time next year.

Do you have a Note 5?

Note in my house!

Yes but I am constantly trying to "improve" my situation which is dumb because it usually doesn't need to be. Anyway, the Note 5 is a great device and I have no complaints. As for your tablet issue, I found when I had an Android tablet and an Android phone that although they work well together, it just seemed I was always keeping them synced and pretty much doing the same things. Totally dumb. I then decided if I had both, they'd be different operating systems so I could have the best of both worlds and use them differently. Right now I use my Note 5 for most everything and I have a Kindle Fire HDX which is strictly media consumption (video, books, magazines, audiobooks, etc.). It works great for that especially since it is WiFi only. The Note is for running my life and staying organized. The Kindle is pure entertainment. Perhaps you need to stop trying to marry the two.

P.S. One day soon, I hope to just put the Kindle aside and just use my Note for media consumption. It works every bit as well. It's just not as big obviously. I have an AT&T Note 5 so I can also charge my purchases to my account which is an added benefit.

ALRIGHT. sucked it up and went to T-Mobile to switch my 6s+ for a gold note 5. It's so sexy. I'm hoping I stick with it for awhile. I have an iPad so hopefully that will quench my iOS thirst! Smh. I haven't had a phone longer than 6 months in about 10 years. Lolol.

Six months would be a record for me. This year alone I've gone from iPhone 6 to 6+, back to the iPhone 6, to a black Note 5, to the iPhone 6s+, then added a line for a gold Note 5 int 32gb, sold that and got the 64gb in gold when At&t started selling them. Thank goodness I have an understanding wife.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

What I really want to do is go to apple store and buy a sim free 6splus. Then hook it up to a $65 a month tmobile account and test both ios and tmobile simultaneously. If tmobile doesn't please me I move it to vzw and use it there. If ios sucks I will have to sell the phone. I doubt I can decide within 2 weeks if I like ios but I understand you can get decent $ for a used iphone.
On work days I will continue to use my old note 3 until I decide whether iphone can cut it at work as well. I doubt it but I won't really know until I try and nothing will be as new and different for me as an iphone. If I already said this forgive me. I have trouble remembering what I post from what I am thinking about posting. LOL

That actually sounds like a smart idea.To be honest, I think you would like the iPhone, most people do. Sure, you will miss some things with Android, but if you really gave iOS a chance, you would see what tens of millions also see. I don't think the iPhone is better for "me'', but I cannot deny it is an amazing smartphone. And it's the smartphone I would most recommend to anyone.

They should but no one would back that because we are keeping the companies rich! Lol

And that's part of the problem. They have suckered us into thinking not only do we need new smartphones all the time, but that we need all of the accessories to go with it as well.

You couldn't be me, could you?
I use an iPad Air II, BlackBerry Passport, BlackBerry Z30, Note 5, and iPhone 6 Plus; not in that order.

Yep, welcome to my world...

Man, do you have a 2nd job for your phone habit, lol!?
