Note 5 vs iPhone 6s

I decided on Iphone 6s Plus coming from the iphone 6. I was on the fence between the Note 5 vs 6s Plus and after having it for just about a week I am starting to wish i went with android. I got the new chromecast and new audiocast and they don't play nice with apple music. I also found 3d touch and other things just plain boring . Its just another iphone same old same old. Might return it for the Note 5 or Nexus 6p.

Likely will have slightly better battery life, no Samsung ram mismanagement, USB C, a dedicated coprocessor for sensor related tasks, better fingerprint reader, better price.

Price and battery life yes, my note doesn't seem to have the memory issue that was present on my s6 edge. I do like the coprocessor idea. Fingerprint reader and usb c we'll have to see, their kinda subjective.

You forgot no TouchWiz and quick updates that don't have to go through carriers. I really do like the Note 5, but I hate how it looks half like Samsung and half Google. Once I get my 6P this Note 5 will be for sale on Swappa.

That was mentioned in the comment that the reply was to lol

But I'm with you. [Im]patiently waiting on the 6p to release and will likely be selling my Note5 on Swappa.

Ah, I see the stock Android part now in the commented comment (if that makes sense). I guess that implies that there will be quick updates, too. I just don't trust phones that have to go through carrier support quite as much as stock phones. I prefer Nexus or iPhone for that. And this looks like such a premium phone that should be well worth the money.

For me it's very confusing love both I want Both!
May keep six plus and grab the note 5 so I have both lol

What about iTunes ? I don't understand. I use the App Store and it is pretty good. I find some of the apps are of higher quality compared to android. Do you mean the music app? I find it pretty good. I don't do local music but t if I did I can just transfer them wirelessly.
You need iTunes to connect to computer, back up settings in computer, put pdfs in bookcase and a lot of other stuff. I don't use any music on my phone nor does my wife on her iPhone but I have still been tortured by trying to use iTunes to a number of things on my wife's 6 plus.

You don't need iTunes to backup the iPhone or settings. You can backup to iCloud. You don't need to put PDF's in a bookcase. Again, they can be stored in iCloud or in any app that can view PDF's. You obviously don't know how to use the iPhone which is weird because It's a lot more simpler than Android.

The settings are all backed up in the cloud and so are pictures and video. I can get a local backup by connecting to the pc. One thing I like is the backup does everything unlike android. It has wireless transfer so I can transfer anything to it wirelessly. I don't do that though because everything is in the cloud.

Note 5 or iphone 6s?

I've been using note 1-4 and all the S series up to the S6 now and still loving the S6.
I have a few lines available for upgrades so I am thinking of getting an iPhone 6s to switch Sim card between the s6 & 6s when I am bored.
But the note 5 is so gorgeous and fast when I played with it at AT&T store, even though I don't use the spen.

Which phone would you get if you were in my situation?

I think most on this forum are going to advise you to go with the Android phone (Note 5) over an iPhone.

I LIKE PDF's in the bookcase.
So I no longer need to use iTunes for any purpose?

Re: Note 5 or iphone 6s?

I finally got a iPhone 6 Plus months ago just to try a different platform. I prefer android, but there are a few things on iOS that like, mainly how the fingerprint scanner works with apps. But overall I prefer android.

Note 5 all the way my friend switched his 6s for the Note 5 as well and he says he will never use a iphone again!

Re: Note 5 or iphone 6s?

IPhone 6 is not an option for me. Too low ppi on such an expensive device

I haven't used iTunes in a long time. Everything I use is in a cloud service. Once in a while, I may backup my device to both iCloud and my computer in iTunes but it's not necessary.

Re: Note 5 or iphone 6s?

I lean toward the Note5 too. But I am also planning to keep the S6 too and the Note 5 & S6 are not that much different. Uhmmm...tough decision
