Note 5 vs iPhone 6s

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I just recently fessed up to her about my addiction to spending too much time customizing my phones. So that's one of the issues. Problem is, I still spend the same if not more time on my iPhone than I did on my androids. Really, it's more of a hassle to try and sell my iPhone and buy a different phone when there is nothing wrong with my current phone. Which is something she doesn't get and I have a hard time justifying to her and myself.

That's the other part of my addiction that I really don't have an answer for and I'm not sure if I need to do anything about it. I spend a lot of time on my Note 5. But, it's because I have integrated into my life completely. And that was deliberate. When I use my phone for everything, I feel like I'm getting the most out of my smartphone. But I can see how it can feed into an addiction. I used to have my iPad Air 2 with me everywhere I went because it was my favorite device. Now it's my Note. I love using it. I don't want to put it down. And the odd thing is, using my Note more often may cure my addiction of switching devices, but it may perpetuate my addiction to actually using my smartphone incessantly.

Note in my house!

Tell her it's a hobby! Takes less time than catching butterflies or bird watching! Safer than flying model planes or drones! Costs less than Casino visits. Does less harm than boozing it up with the boys.

I'm kidding more or less. I know it's all different when you have kids. It's just my wife and I so I have less responsibilities.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

I would probably have both iOS and android if I could afford it. I really do love both ecosystems.

Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

Maybe an iPhone as well.

Either a nexus6p to flash roms and/or a note 5.

My wife will probably be the one to get an iPad before me. Heck, my wife,6 year old and 3 year old will all have a kindle fire by Christmas. She had one already and then she bought them both one on sale. I jokingly said I'd like one as well. I was half joking. I'll be the only one in the house without a tablet. But I'm honestly a tech snob. I have to have the best or near top of the line to be satisfied. So the cheap kindle fire didn't appeal to me.

Re: Aggravated with iOS /Android back and forth

A tablet would just be redundant for me. No need for one.

That is true. There is so much to tinker with and a lot to learn. I think it's one of the reasons why I enjoy it so much. I'm always learning new things about it and how to use it. I just found out today that when you are in the messaging app if you go to more and then album, it shows all the pics that you have sent and received from that person. I have always liked this feature on iOS. Didn't know it was there until today. I'm always finding little things like that.

Note in my house!

Don't know if it works the same in messages, but I'm using textra and if you press on the photo in the thread you can simply swipe left or right to scroll through all photos sent and received

Probably an iPad and an android phone.

That's my set-up. I was really tempted yesterday to get the Samsung 9.7" S2 @ 32 GB. Still on sale at many places for $100 bucks off and less than $400. But I thought it would be redundant with my 64 GB iPad Air. I still might get it with it's micro SD slot but do I really need it ATM? No. BTW as much as I like my Note 5 phablets still can't replace a big format tablet IMO.

I would have a Nexus 6P, an iPhone 6s Plus, the Pixel C if it ever releases, a MacBook, and a Surface Pro 4. This would be if money was no object. However, that's not the case, so I have to stick to one. I like something that each OS provides, but I prefer Android for phone and Windows for PC just a little bit more than the Apple set up. But I definitely see the allure to each OS.

I use my Note 5 and a Kindle Fire HDX. Oddly enough, this Kindle Fire is better than the ones they have now as far as the display AND storage (64GB). Still, I use my Kindle for media consumption and reading books. I could do it on the Note 5 and have but the Kindle is just a bit better for doing that. It's the smaller one so it's easy to carry around. The Note 5 is for running my life. ;)

I currently have an iPad mini 4, iPhone 6, Apple watch, Note 4(dont use anymore) and my Note 5..my main device is the note 5. If you think about it, the note 5 does everything the other devices do, and then some.
