Note 5 vs iPhone 6s

Yeah, there's just really no customization at all. I love how smooth the iPhone is and how everything really works well, but I miss being able to make the phone feel like mine. This looks like my daughter's phone with a different wallpaper. But I absolutely trust Apple devices to work as intended more so than any Android device.

Incidentally, I saw the Samsung View at the store when I was taking the iPad Pro back. Wow, that thing looks like a small tv. It was intriguing.

That thing is a bit ridiculous. I don't think I could use that for anything other than entertainment at home.

Honestly, if the Pixel C didn't have the issues it has (wifi degradation and touch screen issues) I would have gotten one of those and a 6P. As it stands I went with the 6s Plus and 2015 MacBook (which I got at a Best Buy flash sale for $999).

That's cool. I really need to chill out with this stuff now. I spent way too much money this time around. But I am glad that I have my iPad again and that I have the LTE version finally.

Yeah, I hear ya. I've blown so much cash. I'm probably just staying with Apple just to keep the upgrades to a minimum. This next year will be very busy for me (running for office) so I don't need to be messing with phones and tablets and whatnot all the time.

Congratulations and good luck!

I have done so many smartphone purchases from iPhone to Android that my head spins this past 4 months. I never had a Note, so I bought a 4 on EBay for under $300 and I'm going to play with that AND keep my 6s plus. I may see if I like it and then wait to get the Note 6. Dunno. It's an illness.

It's absolutely an addiction. I love Android and iOS. That's mostly my problem. And, while I'm not broke, I don't REALLY have the funds to jump from phone to phone all the time. I did think about grabbing a One Plus 2 or something like that to use as a secondary phone to play with if I needed to get a breather from iOS.

So...my smartphone addiction. Just ran over me like a truck. Ditched the Note 5 for the iPhone 6S Plus and purchased an iPad Pro 128GB w/LTE. Not a good way to go into the new year. SMH.
I can't believe it! You even purchased an extended battery case. I thought you were the Note 5's biggest proponent. May I ask what turned you around? Battery life? Bluetooth issues? Part of screen no longer touch sensitive?

There was nothing wrong with my Note 5. No issues whatsoever. I changed carriers and instead of picking up another Note, I chose an iPhone and iPad. I still love the Note 5. I just have an iPhone now. Go figure.

I'm like you. Always want to try something new but I coul never be entirely without some model of Note.

Damn Doc... Can't believe you got an iPhone again. I was also content on my Note 5. Then used the Nexus 6p. Never thought about getting rid of the Note. The Nexus 6p has been a dream though. Sold the Note after about a week using both. Doesn't matter how much you enjoy a smartphone. Minds change all the time. However I don't have the urge whatsoever to even return to an iPhone at all. Wife has a 6S Plus and I see it in the counter everyday and never pick it up much at all. Love stock Android too much.

I don't believe it!!!!!!! I thought the Note 5 may have cured you!!! I'm still committed to my iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Mini 3. I do miss my Note sometimes but for whatever reason I stay satisfied with my Apple products. I find that I no longer have phone envy when I'm out and see other people with their androids. There's just something about iPhone and iPad that keep me satisfied. I still have a Nexus 6 sitting in the drawer though lol
