Note 7: I got my replacement! Thread

Depends on the store, as you can tell. Some don't know and are giving replacements now when it's not until the 21st. I'd call or just stop in any time or if you want to be sure after the 21st and see what they have. Not everyone is replacing theirs, so they'll be extra.

Ok! Thanks

Went to two AT&T stores in Manhattan today. Madison avenue says they don't expect any for two weeks. Empire State Building location says they were told the 19th (tomorrow) but they have no idea if they will actually arrive. While waiting to speak with them, I checked out the S7 edge. It's a nice phone, but it's no Note 7! Guess I'll follow the news here and maybe check again Wednesday.

Quickly I got my new Note 7 and the manager said they aren't supposed to be giving them out till the 21st.

I can see setting a certain date if these were pre-orders, but these are freaking replacements! "Shut them down, don't use......but you can't get the replacements till the 21st even if stores have them". Dumb!

I agree. Makes no sense to hold on to replacements if they are in stock and they are trying to get the bad ones off the streets.

This whole replacement seems too messy as is. Stores aren't informed at all , they have no ETA, it seems customers will have to keep checking with the stores. Given how careless the stores are acting I won't be surprised if they sell our replacements to new customers just saying. We shall see how this unfolds this coming week.

They're not suppose to start selling them again until the 28th... we'll see

I was at best buy and they told me the note 7 has been in the store since last week. Doesn't help me tho because I got mine from AT&T.

The two corporate VZW stores closest to me both said they have not received any yet. What I don't understand is how VZW and other retailers translate Samsung's announcement of,

"Exchange your current Galaxy Note7 device with a new Galaxy Note7 as approved by the CPSC available no later than September 21, 2016"

to

"On Wednesday, 9/21/16, Samsung's new Note7 will be available."

I would interpret that to mean the day you get them, start replacing them ASAP, and be sure to have this DONE by the 21st.

Carrier- Sprint
Store or via mail- Storr
Any difference in the boxes- Small blk box on lower right hand side of serial label.
Location? (city / state) Woodland Hills, California

The one on fifth avenue? Walked right passed it but since I ordered mine from AT&T, I didn't bother stopping in. It would only be a tease to know they had them but I couldn't have one!

This has to be a reason why people don't want to give up their phones. No one is on the same page and the customers get screwed.
