Anyone know what is specifically backed up with Nova Launcher backups? I am switching a lot of background/icon stuff around regularly. If I backup, will it all be restorable?

What Laucncher do you have ?
I have Apex launcher
all my Icons change when i apply theme
BUT the phone Icon does not change
I have it on my S7 Edge there it works fine
Can anyone Help Plz

I have the Nova Launcher Prime, and you're right. Neither does the phone icon change on my phone with any of the themes I've downloaded, I don't know why. They did change on my Note 5. I have to manually change them on my Note 7.

Is there a way to use those themes but without the icons ??? I basically want my overall ui to have a dark theme to save battery, but I don't like having all those gimmicky icons ...

Any that don't apply properly remove the icon from your screen or folder and try redropping it from your drawer. The whole drawer, or at least most of it, should adopt the theme, but some you have to redrag to the screen or folder. If you see it in your drawer the old style then it will stay the old format.

I'm constantly changing mines and keeping it clean by using the edge panels

The Samsung ui. I haven't found a launcher that I liked better and that had anything else to bring so far....

In Apex you get your choice of skin, icons, theme. I rarely match my icons or skin to my wallpaper/theme, so I grab my wall, edit Apex and check for everything except icons. I'll do a test in Sammy and report back.

The theme changed nothing except the wallpaper as far as I can see - this is with the Sammy themes from what comes up when you press and hold a blank area and the wallpapers, widgets, and screen grid comes up. If you want to change the icons it's a different tab on the Sammy download and purchase area.

Looks like it's from the "Play" store (dumb name) and may even have been pieced together from different apps. Not sure. I'm interested too. I like black themes with white.

Thanks for the answer mate. What I wanted actually wasn't the wallpaper, but rather the whole ui. For example the setting menu in dark, the quick settings,.... Etc... But without the icons. I haven't found a way to do this on TouchWiz....
