I agree with most of the replies here. NO WAY would I buy another phone from Best Buy.
1. I do NOT pay restock fees, ever!
2. They are clueless about everything cellular.
3. The Samsung "Experience" is a joke, at least in the Charlotte area stores. They are always unattended, offer zero genius style help. Really...what are they even there for?
4. They have little to zero inventory on unlocked phones.

I saved over $200 by pre ordering the S8+ at Best Buy. I did get mine a few days after everyone else. So that part sucks. I may just wait until the first batch of deals come around, but I am pretty happy with my S8+ right now.

Unless BB has a big special, I will never use them again to get a phone unless I buy it online. Using the store when I switched from AT&T to Verizon and them telling me they couldn’t approve me to switch due to it being denied on their system for credit reasons pissed me off. I went to Verizon and had no issues switching and my credit is perfect. Their staff usually don’t have a clue what they are doing either.

They did the same exact thing to me. They said I wasn't approved because of my credit, but I bought a house 6 months later and got the best rate available. My credit has never dropped below the mid 700's.

Why isn't there any mention of this online? The closest I've seen is an article from 2016 saying that some Samsung Experiences are closing while some are expanding. Maybe the rep meant only the Best Buy stores in your area?

Yep! Same. I bought a new car 2 weeks later and got a large loan for remodeling our house and my credit is still mid 700s after all that! LOL.

I buy other things from Best Buy, but would not buy a phone from them again. When I bought my Galaxy S7 there, the rep didn't know how to use the AT&T activation system and it took over 2 hours. I bought a Note 7 from an out-of-town Best Buy and when the recall happened, my local Best Buy wouldn't accept it for exchange. They told me to ship it back to the Best Buy where I purchased it and they would refund me.
