Note 8 or V30

Get the V30.

Cheers!

Was thinking the same thing like dude really only you know what you want . Don't think I need anyone to tell me how to spend this kind of money if your not happy take the note take it back an move on with your life it's not that serious

If u with t mobile jump on demand or a plan like that I would just say order the v30 over the phone have them send it to u and you try the phone out self for a week if during the week you find your self not picking up your note 8 at all or thinking about it there's your answer because if u don't want to v30 u can just send it back and still have your note 8 right there .... I wouldn't go by what other ppl say because 9 times out of 10 just like alot of ppl talk about ( isheep) there most definitely alot of strong core Samsung Knight's that think they do no wrong no matter how much there phones slow down or do radom stuff every year ... Just try it your self best option

you are aware that it was the author of this post that post that asked us which phone should he go with an we gave our thoughts on the matter. Personally I told need anyone's thought on what I need when spending this kind of money

Exactly, to me when someone starts a thread like this I usually see it as they are not happy with their current device and I am not here to convince them to stay, so I gladly advise them to just get the other device. :)

I can't dictate what someone else should have, lol, even if the other device is inferior (V30).

Dropped my V30 yesterday... (Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)... then was relieved to see nothing happened. LOL. It was a wood floor though. It does seem well built though... and the real issue, light enough in weight not to damage itself with some types of drops.

Dial up some youtube videos on the drop tests. Fairly impressive.

It's thanks to that lovely MIL-SPEC rating. :)

Not sure what your saying the fact is he already owns the note 8 . To get the v30 makes zero sence an he d loose money on that deal . Plus the n8 is the better feature rich phone ......keep the note is the answer. Most buy there phone on payment so you'll pay $5 more a month for the note 8 haha I rather pay the $5
Lol. Just missed the part where he already owned one.

Well... If you want to debate features or usability or utility, go ahead. But let's not start a debate over who should be where taking about what phone.

I have been pleased with LG phones. I had the G3, V10 and now on the V20. I am switching carriers and have to get a new phone. I was thinking about trying the Note 8, but I can not get over the size (I thought the V20 was big). I like the wide angle camera of the V series and also a fan of the quad DAC as well, so as soon as I can get one in store at T-Mobile I am going for the V30.

I have the S8 Plus and it's too tall for me and I hate the FPS location, I don't use it. I'm using my Mate 9 and will trade in the S8 Plus for the V30 on JUMP On Demand. It should arrive quite soon.

The V30 looks great. If I didn't go for the Note 8 this would be the device that I would be looking to pick up. There is a lot that I like about it.

I wanted a note 8 real bad . that said, I think its or butt ugly so as iv not I passed... v30, mate 10 and Pixel xl are on my short list .!

I currently have a Note 8 but am considering a V30.. I had the V10 and loved it, had the G6 and loved that but I'm feeling like the Note 8 is to fragile and might break and the V30 seems more durable. I want your opinions
Well, I'm a big samsung fan, but they continue to dissapoint me on 1 thing. No hifi dac. I'm tired of having to carry 2 devices with me. (currently the S7E, and the ZTE axon 7 for its tremendous hifi dac) . If I were to buy samsung again, it would be the S8 only because I don't need the spen or the bulk of the note 8. I bought the LG v10 when introduced, but got rid of it after 2 months because of the poor screen, and bulk. This is why I'm giving the V30 a try. It's the right size, has all the options I want, and up to date internals. Now if the screen isn't on par as an oled should be, then I'll return and just stay with what I've got. To be honest, I was hoping that ZTE would have come out with an updated axon 8. The A7 is really a fantastic phone.

I too wanted to go back to the Note series (had the 2 &3). Seriously looked at the 8. In the end I stayed with LG mainly due to the wide angle camera. I had no issues with my V10 & 20's cameras so I feel the 30 should be good. (In a quick personal test I'm happy with it!)
Yes the N8's S pen is great but I use the camera more. And the fps placement....... LG all the way. I have gotten used to where it's at on the LG's.
One really can't go wrong with either device. But it's LG V30 for me.

Lateck,

I would love to try out a Samsung device but I have too many (GOOD!) years with LG now. If I bought one and came across old annoying things I previously had with Samsung devices it would completely give me buyers remorse. I'm hoping I come across a freebie though one day, lol.

I say buy the device that you want to use.
I have a Note 8, and an iPhone 7 Plus. With the S-Pen, I've only ever used it ONCE, and that was to merely confirmed I had one, and that it worked. However, I didn't buy the Note 8 for the S-Pen. Even with my Note 5, I can count on one hand how many times I used the S-Pen...
Just curious, why do you buy a note?

Confused how this topic got moved from the Note 8 area to V30 when it was in the right area to begin with. lol

I've had Samsung Galaxy S4, S5, S6, N4, N5 and N7.....twice. Loved the N7, settled on the S7E for the $100 bucks Samsung offered for the N7 inconvenience.

That said , I didn't care for the S7E. So opted to try my first LG phone, the G6. Quickly became fond with the Power button/Finger print scanner. It worked, was effortless and eliminated a button on the side. Loved the wide angle camera feature and custom signature you could add to photos. I was digging the G6 and was torn when I heard the V30 and N8 were being announced around the same time.

I went with the N8 due to the great trade in they offered and, so far, love it ! Battery life is great, stylus I use more than I thought for browsing etc and features are great. However, I miss the wide angle camera, signature I had on my photos and the S8-N8 FPS is awkward at best. The N8 is great and I'm happy with my purchase (paid balance off with Samsung), but I'm tempted to try the V30 too. If deals become better to get one, I might !

Trying to sell the G6 in pristine shape, TG screen protector and 5 case is not as easy, quick or as high as a Samsung sell imo.

Decisions decisions

Why would you even consider returning a Note 8 for the V30? The Note 8 has more RAM, bigger pixels in the camera, better front facing camera, Samsung Pay, S Pen, better UI, better screen...that's like asking if you should trade in your Lamborghini for a Ford Pinto.
