Note 8 to iPhone X?

The funny thing is that I exchanged my unlocked Note 8 for an iPhone 8 Plus just because Apple updates its software whenever a new problem is out there, like the latest WiFi bug. The Pixel 2 XL's screen is trash so that's why I didn't pick that up.

As for the iPhone X, I will be waiting outside Best Buy on November 3rd with the hopes of scoring a 256GB silver one.

Just remembered, not sure if it was available at the time you bought your Note but did you ever consider a dual SIM Note 8? A bit more cost effective and more convenient.

This is probably a foolish question to ask on this forum, but are any Note 8 users taking the plunge on an iPhone X? I have two lines and I think I may bite the bullet and pre-order one tonight.

I actually just read on macrumors that they will have the iPhone X available on the 3rd to pick up in stores. So I guess best of luck for those who are willing to camp out for it.

Exactly. I seriously couldn't imagine myself sitting outside of a store without a guarantee that I'm walking away with what I want in the end lol. I'll stay with my early deliveries when it comes to Samsung preorders!

I can't find a compelling reason to buy the iPhone X. If anything if I was going to jump back to iOS anytime soon I'd still go for the 8 Plus. One thing I think will come back to bite Samsung fans on the butt though is the iPhone's screen cut out (Notch)they love to mock because there's a growing number of rumours pointing to Samsung moving the fingerprint sensor back to the front for the S9 but having a cut out in the bottom of the screen to accommodate it. A lot like the Essential PH1's camera cutout but at the bottom instead

The bottom part is a bit better for me. You can set aside the part of the screen beside notch for soft keys and not use them for anything else, effectively making it a non-notched screen. At least I hope they do something like that.

Sells was bad because of the x guarantee if it was just the 8 or just the x would have been sold out in minutes just like the x basically all ready sold out well the first batch even tho they didn't make alot but u get the idea

I hope that's not true--where did you hear that rumor? The last I heard was that Samsung was still aiming to get the fingerprint sensor under the screen--which would be awesome and wouldn't require a cutout. Even if they put it on the side of the phone it would be better.

If the Galaxy series ends up with a notch I'll be annoyed.

Yea I saw that some where to they they was talking about a cut out for the finger print like cut out like on top of the screen is something I kinda hope they do put it some where in the front some how but still have a lot of screen or if they going to out it on the back change the location I don't think it's terrible like alot of ppl say it is but it is a adjust me compared to other phones but by then they should have facial unlock upgraded to work better also hopefully cuz mybns is 50 50 now

The X is definitely a departure from what iPhone has done in the past. I admit that, though it's not my cup of tea, there are some innovative things about it and it is a worthwhile purchase for many. It can definitely compete with the best.

All that being said, are you not interested in the iPhone 8?

I have back and fourth alot between the two after seeing the x I just feel that hyst from videos to me it just looks cheaply made for seem like the silver model idk y but in videos the silver glass looks better on the 8 over the x how idk but at this moment how I use to be im happy with my note and really not thinking about getting the x maybe down the line idk but I think I would get the 8 over the x I think the hole gesture thing is not my cup tea yet I still need me a home button
