Hi guys , I have just encountered a problem with its curved screen while watching YouTube. It's like some of the words or information is lost . I went to setting and take a look at ' full screen apps ' . Its say it is optimised to do so, but why it still happen?
( photo represents the lost of words at the bottom of the screen , not only that , at Instagram, some part of picture also lost while uploading and view others post from the left side)

If you set the app/video to run at full screen you're basically zooming in to avoid 'black bars' on the sides (since the screen form factor isn't standard on the Note 9). Ergo, the sides are lost.

but it says its optimised to do so . I wanted to disable for YouTube but it doesn't allow me

I guess I never used the feature so don't know when it changed, but yeah, you can no longer set that option for YouTube with the stock system toggle...because it's now within YouTube itself.

When playing a video, simply pinch in to zoom out (if you pinch out, the image gets zoomed in to fill the screen).

Maybe by accident? Zoom in/out is done with the 'pinch' gesture on the screen while a video is playing

Does this happen on all YouTube videos? It could be the way the channel uploaded the video.

A link to the video you're trying to watch would help better. That way we can test out in different devices and on a Note 9 to see if we all see the same thing or if yours, somehow, looks different.

That video is like that on all platforms and all video orientation, so it's not the device, it's how the video was done. The image is just cropped out.
