Note 9 features that you'd like to see

1) A better spec sheet than the S line. Many times I find myself in a situation where I can't choose if to get the latest S series or wait for the Note. And when I wait patiently to get the Note, it has no enormous advantage over the S(except a few things)
2) A far better camera than the S9. I would like to see adjustable aperture instead of dual. One we can adjust ourself.
3)A better display. Possibly a 4k 120hz 6.5 inch display with even less bezels. Not only would it looks gorgeous but also benefit VR.
4) A better front camera. Its already great on the Note 8 but I would like to see more from Samsung.
5)Stereo speakers louder and crisper than that of the S9.
6) A better Android experience. Maybe Samsung's UI is at its best it has ever been, but it is still far from great. It has a good vibe to it. But all those duplicate apps and lack of optimization make it a bad UI.
7) Probably IP69(maybe it's a far stretch)
8) Quicker updates. I got the Oreo update on my Note just 2 days ago.
9) Still have the 3.5 mm jack and still skip the notch.
10)a larger battery
11) 256 or 512 GB of UFS storage along with MicroSD support
12)Few more SPen features.
13) Support for Qualcomm Fast Charge 4.0
14)No bixby button
15)Improved facial recognition as well as an improved Iris scanner. A better placement for the Fingerprint scanner as well.

Well the Huawei P20 Pro is going to have a triple lens camera and up to 512gb internal storage along with 4000mah battery so there is something to live up to for the Note 9 if they want to keep the code name CROWN....

512GB storage
4200mah
FLAT screen
6.3 inches
8gb RAM
IR blaster
IP68
ditch the all glass design, make it a tank like previous Notes!

Yea that is my dream device basically. I doubt they'd add all that.

If I were a billionaire I'd pay to have a phone custom designed just for my specifications. have about 20 of them produced for spares, family etc., and even have a custom designed case for my specifications. It would blow the mass produced phones away. You'd probably have to find one of the Chinese manufacturers to design it.

I love my Note 8, after giving up my Note 7 for the recall, the Note 8 has been the perfect device for me. It does have some drawbacks.

  • Fingerpring sensor on the back is a pain after being used to it on the front
  • Sound/Speakers could be better
  • Faster CPU, hope Sammy can get out of the Qualcom deal
  • More RAM, more internal memory and keep expanded memory
  • Better camera, S9 has real nice low light capabilites
  • Touch Wiz needs a serious makeover

And something unexpected as a "WOW" factor. The competition is getting close in specs. Samsung needs to step up to the plate and surprise us.

At least 128 or 256 GB ram storage, but for some reason they seem hell bent on not releasing higher capacities in the US. Also, the dual speakers that is on the S9 now and better fidelity.

I would love it if they could perfect the fingerprint under the screen.

Also, it won't happen, but would love it if the Exynos chip would one day support the US radios and therefore everyone would be on the same chip.

A dedicated audio DAC would be a pleasant and welcome surprise!

1. Better stock keyboard
2. Bixby 2.0 - very excited about this!
3. In display FPS
4. BIGGER SCREEN
5. Icon pack support in Samsung Experience
6. 4000 mAh battery
7. Remove carrier bloat

Slightly wider and thicker, if they are going to be taller for a 6.4" screen.

Bring back the Edge Clock as a seperate option.

Bring back install from Unknown sources as a seperate option.

If it has an under-screen FPS and a bigger battery, it will become my everyday (currently still running S8+)

1 new style
2 better battery
3 faster processor
4 nice camera
5 less bloat ware
6 better finger printer scanner and placement
7 new ringtones/ notifications
8 louder volume
9 different color
10 better pen
11 water/dust proof
12 timely updates
13 listen to there customers needs

better price tag

The better battery is debatable. With the S-pen needing to be in the Note 9, there will be less room for a bigger battery. Also, the last one I disagree with. The Note 4 was seen as the pinnacle of the Note line. With the removal of removable battery, flat screen, and IR blaster, they're not listening to all customers needs.

Samsung can't listen to everyone. They listen to the masses. If 1% say they won't buy a Samsung phone unless it has a 4K screen, they won't all of the sudden start making phones with 4K screens. Same for the flat screen and removable batteries.
I heard the in screen fingerprint sensor is what is allowing them more room for a bigger battery.
Personally, I would like a 6.5 or 6.6" screen with no notch.

I've enjoyed my Note 8! Quite happy with its speed, size screen etc. 2 Huge shortcomings in my opinion. Base memory for a premium phone directed towards "power users" is totally inadequate! My 64 gig was full in 4 months. I have a 400 gig card and that's great but I can't use it for apps. It's not fast enough and Android won't allow it without rooting which I have found next to impossible on this phone. The second item is battery capacity. My iPhone 7+ battery will outlast my Note by several HOURS! In fact, I've resorted to an external 5500 mah variety and now I have real flexibility except it's thick and heavy but I like it! Just Don't think it should be necessary.

The same people that want the 4K displays...would then complain about battery life. Cause the 4K screens take so much to power them up.

S Note
S Note
and
S Note

Without having to go thru such shenanigans to sideload it, and not all features working.

And the death of Samsung Notes.

Samsung Notes isn't going away, but I agree with just building all the previous popular features from S Note into the app. (Especially Action Memo!) I think the whole industry needs better note integration across the board.
