Samsung should throw in a case.
99% of the time I always buy the rugged case or whatever Samsung branded case gives the most protection.

I like the Samsung branded cases but for the price of £35+ it would be a nice freebie.

On another note, I still use my free Dex dock alot but as a desktop charger more than docking PC.

Would be great to get a case and pre applied screen protector. If low rent devices like OP6 can do it, then it makes Samsung look even more tight.
( Even my wife's Huawei P Smart came with a decent screen protector pre applied and a case in the box )

Seeing as they are making new faster wireless chargers to go with the faster charging speeds and the increased battery size, how about throwing in one of those?

Speaking of wireless chargers, I hope my old one will work. I won't be in a hurry to buy a new one if the old one works without issue.

The old one should work, I have a 1st generation wireless charger that still works with the S9 plus. They should be building to improve on the older design.

I don't know if that would fly. But, staying on this thought...why doesn't Samsung reward long time customers? How about some incentive program that increases for every consecutive Samsung phone you own or years of ownership? Maybe that would stop some customers from fleeing to an iPhone for every release because it would set their incentive clock back to zero.

Trading your old Galaxy and Galaxy Note with an great promotion would be nice.
Especially when the latest S9 was kinda disappoiting.
I liked the free Samsung DeX pad but it surely lacks of mobility. Why not building a laptop dock unit such as the Mirabook to enhance even more Samsung DeX?

I'd be down with this. I've had great luck with the S-series, and terrible luck with the Note series. Everyone remembers the Note7 debacle, and then my Note8 was one of those with the chronic freezing problem.

Really enjoy my S9, size included... so it'll take something really enticing to get me to switch to the Note this time.

I would have such a hard time going back to the S line.

Other than the spen and the spen features, the Note 9 is basically the s9 plus otherwise with the spen and very slightly larger screen and slightly newer camera.

The s10 and Note 10 are supposed to have more massive upgrades and such. If the Note 9 is way overpriced and not much of an upgrade over the Note 8 I might buy an s9 plus for cheaper and get the Tab s4 as well.

Like if I buy the Note 9 I would buy the S10 plus due to the massive upgrades it is supposed to have will blow the Note 9 away. Then I will buy the Note 10 probably lol.

Could I 'make do' with the excellent Note8 for another year? Absolutely. Through ten months my Note8 shows no sign of flagging. Is my buying a new top shelf smartphone every year (sometimes it's two devices) an exercise in self-aggrandizement? That's the question I've been wrestling with these past 27 months since my fiancée passed away as we'd go up the smartphone ladder every year going back to late-2004 with the excellent (in its time) Palm Treo 650; even then I'd given hers as a gift, so I started it.

I'll ponder this a bit longer and maybe the solution will present itself. Not that I couldn't use the Note9 on a late-summer vacation due the end of August.

Elsewhere, probably not.
