Note 9 Promotions

They're dangling that bigger, longer-lasting battery, so there is that. If, for a promo gift, I could choose between the next generation 360 Camera or an enhanced VR package that, along with the battery, would probably sway me.

I always buy direct from Samsung. Even so I doubt we will get the higher tier options here.

I wonder if maybe the US unlocked model will have the larger GB storage and RAM options maybe. Why don't the carriers like those beefed up phones? Is it because of the higher price that they won't sell?

I'm always supprised that the US don't get the higher tier options, even through carriers. As they pay a fraction of the cost of elsewhere usually with deals and promotions etc.

Same here. I regard this behavior, on the part of some carriers, as being blatantly dismissive of the customers whose revenue buoys-up their existence. Do any of the larger carriers really believe that among the millions of their customers that there isn't a sizable number who'd pay for the best storage, processor, etc?

I don't care about 512 GB. Even half that I don't need. What I WOULD want is the 8GB model. That is the game changer for me. If given the twice between the two I'd take the 8gb model. Unless it was like $1200 lol.

Plus in America and Canada I would think there is a bigger market for it since people over here just put it on Visa and Mastercard regardless if they got the money or not. The American way. Put it on charge and pile on more debt lol!

The going rate for 8 gigs may very well be $1200. The fact that we won't see it here is the irritant. Some could take the 'what's another pound on an elephant(?)' view as to the steeper price.

So... what is 8gb going to do that the current 6gb isn't doing? Granted...'maybe'... a little quicker processing. But the 6gb in all my business loads, is VERY FAST as it is. Sure, if the 8gb were to be included in a regular price of a phone... AND... the 6gb just wasn't cutting it... then I can see the 8gb as an advantage. However, the 6gb...for my intensive business needs, and I am not on FB, Twitter or Instagram... is doing everything I ask of it. The real question is... Is the 8gb something that is being asked for out of boredom or is it really needed?

I got a free 32" Samsung TV with the S 6 Edge plus I bought my daughter a few years ago, now that was nice!

I'm in the UK and buy my phones sim free from my local Samsung Experience Store.

I've yet to get a freebie. :(

These are usually added so many months after launch.

So I'd like to see freebies at launch direct from Samsung.

I prefer not to be locked into a mobile phone contract so what the networks offer isn't something I can take advantage of.

Do you get your phones at launch?
There were a lot of places offering the Dex station if you pre ordered the Note 8.
I pre ordered mine through the Samsung website on the upgrade program so I'll see what the Note 9 is like and what promotions there are before I decide.

I got the DeX with the Note 8 as well on preorder but had to wait two and a half month to get it and another two months on a software update for the phone for it to recognise the DeX with putting it in and pulling it out 7 or 8 times before it worked
