Note10+ fingerprint sensor FIXED. Much better now!

Hey guys!

Anybody else noted the fingerprint sensors on Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are performing much better now, post update setup? My Note10+ is gorgeous right now, almost like my OP 6T McLaren. Speedy and reliable. No misses till now. Two work colleagues noted the same, their gadgets unlocks much more faster now, and with a lot minus failures.

Yes, it seems Samsung really fixed it. Thank God I didn't sold mine as I was considering last Tuesday. Now it seems a legitimate flagship! Just a tip: as instructions said, it's necessary to reboot the OS after installing update, here the magic happened only then.

Anybody else noted it, too?

Didn't you receive the fingerprint update yet? That's a small one, only 7MB... Received notification yesterday

It's a separate update.

Not seeing any difference still very slow as it has been since day one. This is the only downfall for the note 10 series.

Did you reboot it? Here I only could see the difference after reboot.

Never had a problem with my Note 10+ finger print sensor it works way better than my S10+. I'll have to try the S10+ to see if it has improved any.

Yes, I do feel it is much more responsive and super consistent. Not a single failure after the update.

I installed the new update today, then did a restart, then removed and re-added my 2 thumb prints. I have an unlocked Note 10+ on Verizon. I can't say for sure if it's any better yet. Sometimes my phone works great for 1st time fingerprint access, but can suck 5 minutes later, or the next hour, or next day. It's so random and unpredictable. Time will tell. I will give it at least a week before I can say for sure if this new fingerprint update offers any improvement.

It doesn't come from a regular software update. You'll get a notification when it's pushed to you. Samsung is rolling it out slowly so it may be later before you get it. Not sure if they're sending it out by region or what.

Honestly I don't know where it came from. It just popped up on my screen as a Security update. Not like your standard system update.

Comes from TADownloader at least on the unlocked models. It's not something you can search for or force. Just gotta be patient.

Well, just reporting, dozens of unlock processes here today and no single failure. Impressive, to say the least. It's like if I had changed my device, this sensor was a mess, seriously. Now it looks very sharp and quick. Well done, Samsung!

Can you have someone else try to unlock your phone? Zero failures just make me wonder
