Android Central Question

My note 20 ultra inly connects to 5ghz if channel is set manually over 100. It fails to recognise channels 33 44 and so on. I have a mesh system wifi6 tplink Nd cannot set channel manually so phone connected at 2.4ghz .
Help

Welcome to Android Central! How far away is the phone from an access point when you see this? Keep in mind that 5 GHz has relatively short range, so if you're usually far from an access point, the phone will automatically connect to 2.4 Ghz instead.

V close. Previously i had a tp link archer c7 . With that also i had to set the 5ghz channel to 154 etc . It just doesnt recognise below 100 channels. But with decox20 mesh system there is no way to set the channel manually. Its kind of frustrating as 2.4 is useless when it comes to speed . Iphone 12pro and 11pro works perfevtly and also my laptops.

Done that . No change . Doesnt show 5ghz wifi. Untill i set a router on channel 100 or above . Its not everywhere that you have access to the router

I wish i could . My new DECO X20 mesh system from TPLINK does not allow me to set channels manually . Even so i could do that only where i have router control else i will have to stick with 2.4ghz
