AT&T Inc. is considering stopping all sales of Samsung Electronics Co.’s flagship Galaxy Note 7 over concerns about the smartphone’s safety, according to a person familiar with the situation.
A final decision will likely come as soon as Friday, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the deliberations are private. AT&T spokesman Fletcher Cook declined to comment.
Like many competitors, the second-largest U.S. wireless carrier is already offering alternative smartphones to people who return Note 7 devices.

Not good, guess I'm hanging onto the note5 for awhile now...hard to justify the money on the S7 edge...

Awww man! That sucks cause ATT is my carrier. I was hoping they'd just sort out the phone and no further issues and sell a solid phone. Hope they can show ATT they can do it.

I had a feeling this was going to happen, since they were dragging their feet about reintroducing it for sales. I'd already returned mine to Best Buy, so I'm thinking strongly about switching to Verizon so I can get the Note7 again.

Ugh. Verizon. They like to interfere with updates so they can install their own bloatware. They even replace Samsung apps with their own junk.

Also doesn't bode well fit remaining Note 7 owners even if there isn't a 2nd recall. I doubt there will be major promotion and release of new updates of the carriers pull the plug.
