Notes and Organization field missing from People app

The Notes & Organization fields missing from People app when I change from phone storage to Google. I was able to do this with CM7 on my Incredible. Does anyone know of an app that will allow me to add notes you a Google contact, or is installing a custom ROM the only way.

I set up for my Google account to calendar sync using ActiveSync and my People app has Notes and Organization. No root or third party ROM.

Can I use Active Sync to interact with the Gmail mail app and stock calendar, or this just for Exchange accounts?

I use "Exchange ActiveSYNC" for both without issue.

That worked! Thanks.
Should I continue to allow the Google version of the account to sync as usual, or disable mail and calendar for that account?

I make sure only one sync method is used on any given item. I've had issues with hung syncs when multiple sync types are used on the same item. I also use the HTC built-in email client, not Gmail.
