Notes to self

I have an S10+ and use a calendar app (Calengoo) that's a front end for Google Calendar. Today, for the first time, I received an SMS calendar reminder from Notes to Self. I usually just get reminders from my calendar app, so I don't want a Notes to Self SMS. Can I get rid of this feature? Thanks.

Is Notes to Self a standalone app, or is it the Google Assistant feature?

It's not in my apps list and, AFAIK, it's associated with Google/Gmail. It doesn't seem to send an SMS for every calendar item.

Are you (or your workplace) using Google Workspace (previously G Suite)? My understanding is that SMS reminders from Google Calendar is only available in Workspace now.

No. I never used it, and it's not in my apps list.

Could you share a screenshot of the SMS (making sure to block out any identifying information if you can)?

Is it something to do with the Calengoo app you use for your calendar?

Problem solved! I'm not sure it happened, but Calengoo got set to issue an SMS reminder for that recurring event. Thanks for the advice!
