Hello everyone,

I have noticed a sudden battery drain on my note 4 the last couple days. I'm not sure that I'm using it more than often cause it's difficult to gauge that. However I have included a screen shot of my usage for the last few hours. Can anyone tell me of something looks out of whack here? I installed Hangouts and have been using that for a couple days now, but I'm not sure if that's causing the battery drain. I cannot see hangouts listed on my system usage. Let me know!

Looks about the same as mine....yesterday after 3.5 hours I was at 92%. Today at 3.5 hours I am at 80%. *shrugs* Who knows......it's always a surprise. I could get home tonight and it's 70 something percent or maybe it will be in the 40's.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary, really... except maybe the crappy reception. That can drain your battery quite fast.

Maybe Google Play Services got updated? If so, you could try clearing cache for that. Sometimes it acts up after an update...

It's funny my battery was better yesterday and last night I disable a lot of the google bloatware and its worse today. Go figure.

Mine's been doing the same thing. More often than not, i'll have 80% or more when I leave work to go home. But today and another day last week, it goes down so fast for no reason. The only thing I can guess is that something is waking it a ton (which it is according to the stats) but it's odd cause it wakes a lot every day, but only some days does the battery suck.

I would have to see your screen on time to really judge it.

For me 53 minutes screen time and I am down to 60% in 7 hours.....BUT yesterday in 7 hours and I was around 85%. Android can be weird like that.

For the moment, I'm going to discount your experience only because you're still within the first few days of having the device. The battery performance during that period is usually lower than it will be later on.

I'm down to 80% with 7 minutes of screen on time, and it's been off the charger for 8 h 13 m 21 s. I should be over 90% easy with stats like that if it was a normal day.

Yeah, hopefully that is just an indication that your phone is reindexing after that update, and not performing worse as a result of it.

My battery life is absolute garbage and can't seem to figure out why the hell I can't even get a day out of mine

You have half an hour of screen on time, with only one hour off the charger and at nearly 90% battery left? I wouldn't say that's bad at all!

I would suggest taking all the garbage apps off your phone. That'll help you tons. The anti virus, I'm assuming is the shield emblem, and the battery app. I thought these apps were awesome to have but they just made my device run harder and die sooner. I do not have anti viral programs, I only run Samsung battery info, the native battery info that is within settings and I let Android do the rest of the work. Try it out for a little bit and see how it works. You'll have to give it a few weeks to a month I would think to really see the difference.

Like I said, you're garbage apps that are running constantly in the back ground. The ones that show at the top of your notification panel.

Turn off all of the garbage apps you have running. Whatever those shields are (lookout?) and the two battery managers you seem to have. Between those, your phone is always awake. You only want your phone awake when you're actually using it.

Those useless apps are what are killing your battery.
