Notification emails from being quoted

I am constantly notified by email when someone quotes me. I have already checked my settings and it was set to not send notifications so I figured I'd try to set the to send a PM instead. It still sends an email though so I disabled it completely once again and it still emails me every time.

Anyone have a fix?

Hm I do know we are testing some things on the back end. Try going to your settings -> then settings again. From the left navigation (where you see "My Account", "My Profile", etc.) do you see a "User tagging" section at the bottom?

I see it and I selected disable just now. So we shall see if it worked.
