Notification led going from bright to dim

I noticed that my notification led was going from being bright to really dim. It kept doing this over and over like in a pulse fashion. Not blinking, but going from dim to bright. Anyone else have this issue? Is it normal?

I have noticed mine dimming when I go to bed when charging. I am thinking it dims the LED to make it less bright in the dark.

Your issue may have been just trying adjust to the lighting but getting confused.
