Android Central Question

If anyone has the answer to this, much appreciated! We're trying to determine how honest this caretaker was when charges were made through Android/Google Pay. He claims his primary credit card (on the app) wasn't approved and the app "automatically" defaulted to the second card on the account. First, I don't know if the app allows two payment sources? And if so, if one credit card is not working, will the app default to the second credit card account WITHOUT sending out some kind of notification that's what's taking place -- or asking your permission to use the second card. Again, any help you in getting an answer would be really appreciated. We're dealing with a caretaker who's looking out for a dementia patient and trying to ascertain the truth here, without pointing any fingers first.

It would help to know which app you're referring to. All mobile wallets, however, will not 'default' to secondary (or as many cards are added) method of payment. If a transaction is declined, it will let you select a different method but not do it automatically.

If you're looking at a specific in-app payment or service, that's a different story and it MIGHT (doubtful) default to whatever payment method is available and authorized.

Thank you for the reply! It's a mobile wallet and I was told the app is "Android Pay" aka Google Pay. Thinking about just downloading the app and giving it a test (idea just came up) but very interested to get your feedback, nevertheless. Much appreciate, Michael
