Hi. I'm just wondering why I don't recieve notification when I enable my mobile data? But when I turn on the wifi, the notifications come up flooding my notif bar.

Because being on the mobile network is the intended normal behavior of the phone and is also more secure than some wifi. Some wifi points are not secured in anyway such as those open hotspots at starbucks and mcds which is a potential threat for the phone. So by letting you know it has switched to wifi it gives you the chance of stopping it to protect your data or for you to know not go online to your bank account over an unsecured wifi.

Huh? What kind of answer is that? Did you actually read the OP's question? Did you just make that stuff up because you think it sounds good, because it makes no sense at all...and your answer is so full of mistakes I can't even begin to list them.

So you actually understand the question - the OP is asking why they don't get any notifications while on the mobile network, why they only get notifications while on WiFi. Your answer makes no sense and is completely contrary to the question, not to mention the fact that you are wrong in any case.

@ the OP, are you sure mobile data is actually enabled on your phone? Have you checked in the settings? Are you able to browse on Mobile data with WiFi off?

Your post doesn't even hit on what the OP was talking about and also makes no sense.

That's not what I was asking - see here:

Settings>>>Connections>>>More networks>>>Mobile networks>>>Mobile data

Is the checkmark there or not?

I would check to see if background data has somehow been restricted. Settings>data usage>advanced>restrict background data, and see if that is the case.

It has no check mark on the restrict option...

Are you saying that you don't get any notifications for e-mail / text / social media etc while on mobile data only? Nothing works?? Have you tried rebooting the device?
