I've tried turning on my notification reminder for my text message and I can't seem to figure out how to make it work on the phone has a glitch and it is not working. Has any one else came across this problem or have a solution for it?

Check to see if texting is disabled for your account with your cell phone carrier...

What messaging app are you using and can you also tell us where and how you enabled the notification reminders?

There is no such setting in the stock messaging app on the Note8 that I can find. Did you download a different SMS app?

So that notification reminder is actually in Accessibility (Settings-Accessibility-Notification Reminder). It reminds you at the set interval for any notifications you have not yet checked. But you have to turn it On and then ensure your Messages app is turned On as well. It will use your default notification tone (Settings-Sounds and Vibration-Notification Sounds-Default Notification Sound) you have set for your phone. It will not use the notification tone you have set in your Messages app unless you specify your default notification sound to be the same.

If you open up the message or swipe the notification to dismiss it, the reminder will not work. It will only work for any notifications that are still in your notification panel. Once they are dismissed, the reminder is dismissed as well.

If this still doesn't work for you, you can always try another messaging app like Textra, which has a great reminder setting within the app (every two minutes from 1-50 times).

I have it working thanks to you! My last phone was a LG and the setting are a little different. But I do love the more 8
