Notification Sound Repeat

Is there a way to get the phone to repeat notification sounds. Say I get a text but not around to hear it, after that first sounds,to my knowledge, it no longer makes any sounds. Just seeing if it can repeat the notification say every 5 mins. Thanks for your time.

just use Handcent, the best third party text app out there. you can set reminders by interval and how many reminders. it has tons of other features also. and free.
