Notification Sounds

On the X can you set different alert sound for different things? Or do all notifications use the same similar to what my Eris does?

What that means is in each individual app, hit your menu key (four little squares) and a menu should pop up. In there there may be notifications or settings you can change...

Is there a way to assign different email/text sounds for different people? With my BB, I could assign a diff sound for email, text, and calls for each person.
