Notifications & Ringtone Volume Low?

yeah the sound is really low. the samsung charge was loud. I hope it is a firmware issue.

right now, I have the phone to ring and vibrate.

Will be getting this phone tomorrow, but one thing to take into consideration is, when i first got my droid X the volume was terrible, they sent a update and it corrected the issue. So i bet they can def make it louder with an update.

Got mine today and missed 5 calls. And music in car wasnt loud. So dissapointed about that but i didnt have the vibrate on either so might be better now for when in pocket.

I was just gonna say..... One of the first things they fixed.

Sent from my Xoom

Does it have a strong vibrate?
Doesn't seem that strong when it's lying on the table but in hand it's strong enough. I think that's what you get when you have a practically feather-light phone - vibrating when lying down doesn't seem very strong

I've added some custom ringtones that I amplified and it's still nothing great. Even at full volume I can barely hear the key press tones.

ya i tried the volume+ from the market that didnt help at all, and i picked the loudest notifcation i found on the phone and its not very loud at all. so what happens if we wait for an update and it doesnt happen? we stuck with the phone before the return date on it expires? that would sux

i understand the paid version might help but why should we pay for something that should be so simple on a phone? it's common sense to have a good sound on a phone we just dished out so much money for. am i wrong for thinking this way?

Maybe it's just my phone, but some things seem fine and other things seem way quiet. The default ringtone is on the quiet side straight out of the box, but some YouTube videos I watched and a few tracks I played actually made me lower the volume. Which is weird if this is some kind of speaker issue.

So. How does the word get back to Verizon/Samsung/Google that this is something they need to fix? We can chat about it all we want, but how to we tell them?

How they didn't find this during beta testing when we all noticed it in the first hour of having the phone I have no idea.

I am getting so disappointed by this phone. From the speaker to the screen ... wow. Not what I expected.

It wont end well...the Evo 3D had that same issue and even with mods to increase the volume it sounds distorted.

maybe Phil or Corey can notify someone on the inside? i have no idea. i doubt an email to verizon or samsung would help
