Nougat freezing up and restarting after very long delay

[AC Question]

since upgrading to Nougat on 4/10/17, all throughout the day, at any given time whether with apps open or not, the Note 5 will freeze up then go black screen. No multiple pushing of the home button or the power button does anything. after 2-4 minutes it comes back on as a restart. This is so disruptive, especially when travelling and my maps locks up or missing important phone calls.

Has anyone else had this issue since upgrading to Nougat?

I experienced precisely that problem for two days, once or twice each day. I did a factory reset, it was cured.

No need to factory reset. Just clear the cache once a day tell it stops. That worked for me.
