I just got the U update via OTA a couple hrs ago. Running it now. So far my apps work and I am loving the new small display size. Too early to tell about battery life.

Hi. On a friend's Nexus 5X, they have received the OTA update already. They were not on the Developer preview. It was released to them about a week ago.

It really all depends on what carrier your Nexus 6P is with. Different carriers release the update at different times (even though they should all be relatively very close in a time range). You should get it in the next coming weeks. It shouldn't be too long for you to get it. If you do want to get it now or earlier, I have heard that you can sign up for the Developer Preview now, get that installed on your 6P, then you should get the OTA update for the real Nougat in a day or so. That's what I have heard, I don't know if it's 100% correct. Hope this helps!

I got the OTA update yesterday (9/13/16) on the 5x, haven't really had a chance to play with it much but first impression is good. The device is running much quicker but that's always the case with a fresh system. We'll see if that holds up. (I sure hope it does as that has been my primary issue in the past.)

Got the update yesterday, right after a security update. After it downloaded I hit the restart and install and then nothing happened. Google has been no help. This is my third nexus device, never had a problem like this before.

Exact same issue here. Downloaded security update, then full Nougat update just as the screenshots above show. Hit "restart and install" and it immediately went back to my home screen. Checked the settings and it shows I'm running 6.0.1 with the September 6, 2016 security patch.

Has anybody found a solution to this? Google has been no help, just a runaround.

Got the update this morning... Huge!

I got the update around 4, waited until I got home at 5 to do Sept 2016 Security patches. Then got notif for 7.0, took about 20 min to download, then restarted. Took about 15 min for that. I'm on 7.0.

I did the register/deregister thing and no update. One of the reasons I bought a Nexus phone was that it would get timely updates (more or less like the iPhones do). I guess, while hugely better than Samsung, which 8 months to get MM, it's not really instant. Have I somehow screwed myself out of getting the update by deregistering?

bwahahahahahahahahahaha

oh lolololololol

I've spent the last nine months really hoping (believing) that once Google rolled out Multi Window, I'd finally be able to split screen Netflix...

NOPE!
lolololol

The rest of it is great, but, this makes me laugh =) =) =):D:p
