So I am wondering if any one has come across a new fix for the VZW CD-rom drive that is loading after the update. Ran the dialer disable, still get it coming up when I connect to the computer. Re-enabled it then re-disabled it still comes up. Any one have a suggestion as to how to get this shut down again?

Or if you're not rooted, do this:
Droid Incredible/Droid X: Disable Verizon V-Cast Manager Popup
And next time, please use Google. It took me all of 15 seconds.
The dialer solution does not work any more it will still load it even if you have the cd-rom drive turned off. I tried re-disabling, re-enabling, re-disabling and I still get the pop up for a cd-rom drive with no disk and then the v-cast web page loads. That is why I asked if there was a new solution to this issue since the update.

I'm with you on that issue !! I just did the dialer fix a short time before this POS November OTA "Update" and it was working good, now that function is trashed again.
**** I'm getting tired of battling with the Morons at VZW to have a good working device!!
Thanks for exposing another MAJOR issue caused by VERIZON in the November OTA update!!
I need a avatar with a Calvin missing on VZW !!! LMAO !!
That's what you get for not rooting and being able to decline VZW's crap. Haha jk guys
I'll look into this and see if I can figure out how to do it- might be hard since I don't have the update installed, but I'll try..
Did the update and now my phone is randomly doing it's own thing. It's like the bottom buttons are all being pressed. I can't use the phone but for a minute or two before it starts wiggin out. It eventually locks up the screen and i have to press the power button as if i'm locking it to shut it off. I'll hit the button to unlock the screen and it'll be back to normal for a little bit and then starts freaking out again.
My phone has started flipping between home screens and selecting and unselecting text while I'm trying to read emails and randomly opening apps. I've also had issues accessing the market and numerous force closes but I don't know what is force closing because I don't have anything open and running that I'm aware of...It's like there's a ghost in the machine! Anyone have knowlege or suggestions? Phone not rooted and I'm not as tech savvy as most of you who post here...really want to avoid a factory reset.
If we don't get a fix soon, i'm gonna go to a different phone in December. I can't handle the problems that i'm having. It's a constant fight with the phone to just make a simple call anymore.
I got a call from the HTC developer dept. today and was told there would be a software patch released in December to address the bugs in the November update. She also told me that they have been swamped with problems since the Nov. update was released. So much for "No major issues" with the update like some have tried to tell us. LMAO !!
Anyway, hang on a little if you can, hopefully the patch coming out fixes your phone.
