Anyone using nova on the beta? The lack of gesture compatibility with Android 10 is frustrating. I like the new gestures but on nova the home swipe is not working well at all and the app switcher is mediocre. But the back gestures are great.

That is a Google issue. Third party launchers cannot be used with the Android 10 gestures.

I'm using gestures with beta and Nova. There are some nuances but I cannot stand the nav buttons as I am so used to gestures I kept trying to swipe on the buttons, drove me nuts. So I just limp through it until it gets better.

Nothing Nova can do

I've been using One UI but switched back to Nova yesterday. Gesture nav is to wonky. Went back to the three button nav.

Only just got 10 on my Nokia 7.1 yesterday. I'm sticking with the two button nav because I will not give up on Nova. Hope it will be sorted out soon.

The Google gestures aren't as bad as I thought they'd be. If I'm forced to get used to them, I think I can easily adapt. I think I still prefer Samsung gestures though.

I find Google gestures great for bigger phones.
I've kind of done a 180 on how I feel about them. Before, I had just read how it worked and did not like the way it sounded. I briefly went to the stock launcher last night to play around with it and was surprised by how natural it felt. I actually am looking forward to when third party launchers will be able to have the Google gestures so I can give it a serious try. I'm so used to Nova after all these years that I can't stand the stock launcher. It's lacking far to many features for me to seriously use it as a daily driver.

I do also use Nova , switch between that and stock but I cant wait to Google gestures work with 3rd party launchers also.

It's weird that Nova won't work with gestures on a Samsung but does with OnePlus and Android 10...

Sometimes you have to wait for beta phase to be done before releasing an app you can support and stand behind. I use to be on Nova beta track just to get an earlier release.

This problem is on Google and Samsung side, not Nova's. The issue is caused by the new way that Android 10 handles the Recent apps. There's nothing that Nova devs can do to "fix" it.
