Nova launcher

Anyone have an efficient method for making icon images, you choose using nova launcher, have invisible backgrounds?

like my Phone and SMS?

Can someone with Nova Beta 7 go to their app drawer, click the apps tab, and select "Downloaded" and see if your downloaded apps show up please ? After I updated to Beta 7 the Downloaded and Recent Apps tabs are empty for me. This is probably the only issue I have found with my install of Nova. I'm rooted and running it as a system app. So far I am loving it. Thanks for the help!

Whew. I though it was just me. I hate being the only one with a problem. I feel better now. That means we have a better chance of the dev fixing it. Thanks!

Just noticed this, but its happening to me as well.

Right now it seems the only stable launcher is the stock GN. Nova has been crashing like crazy and Go hasn't done their ICS update yet, launcher hasn't update since may 2011 and ADW isn't ready for ICS yet.

Go launcher has been updated 3 times in the past 2 weeks. I've been using it since I bought the phone. It works just fine.

I wish go launcher would fix the calendar issues. No calendar app functions correctly.

NovaLauncher by far the most stable alternate launcher.

My calendar works fine. I use APW calendar widget.
I have no problems with go launcher. I can launch 32 apps without having to have icons all over my home screen. I see no need to switch, but I appreciate the recommendation.

I love nova launcher the scrolling is so smooth. Also the option to have the cube animation is really nice. Also love updating from the app. Will this get to the point of other launchers like go? like that many options? I like it the way it is with the stock ics and a few extras best idea ever.

its still early stages, but im sure the Main Build will be available in the Market and a Pro Version be available too-

I can't say enough good about nova launcher. First it is very smooth and stable. It retains most of what is good about the stock launcher and adds the ability to remove the search bar. I personally prefer the long press for widgets. Will gladly buy when released in market.

I sure hope not! I would like to see it stay as close to stock launcher as possible with some added tweaks. Don't care for the the screens and screens of customziations.

Somehow I selected the option for Widgets that only brings up the list when you click Widgets in the app drawer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing data, etc to try to get that option back but can't figure it out. Can anybody help with that?

I couldn't get the apk to copy to the system/app directory. How do you install as a system app?

Are you rooted?

If so, I placed the .zip file in my SD card directory and used Clockwork Recovery to select and run the file. Worked like a charm.

Place the zip file in the system directory? Then install the apk from the system directory? I am rooted and used Root Explorer but I didn't put that zip in there.
