now every tech blogger is claiming screen burn

Makes no mistake, the new iPhone will have similar problems. Maybe not burn in, but I would expect blue shift

Maybe. I would doubt it though. Even though Samsung is manufacturing the screens, apple specced them and I doubt they would put up with it.

Maybe the individual pixels change the most over the first few days and then everything levels off actually reducing the burn in effect as the pixels even out. We won't know for a bit how to really characterize the issue.

That's still a huge issue. Burn in is a degradation of the pixels. If they degrade that quickly there's no way it will just stop.

Again. If it isn't every device...or even the majority, it is a defect, covered by warranty. The tech bloggers are acting like every device is complete garbage...only after praising it to no end. Sensationalist bull****.

What is your point here? The fact is Google shipped products that are pure straight defective out of the box, and is destroying their reputation in the process. Just because you don't like the criticism doesn't mean it's wrong.

The problem is that they shouldn't burn-in or even show persistence so soon after first use.

Is it noticeable? No, but the problem with burn-in is that once it's there, it gets worse.

I've seen the burn-in on your OG XL but honestly, it's hard to make out. If it's just over a year old, that's normal. What's not normal is seeing it just days after use.

From what I have heard and seen, this is a QA issue and should be resolved in future batches.

And I agree with you some -- but also please don't just assume all devices are part of the defect crowd. It goes both ways ;).

I agree that after four days this should not be a problem. But for most people it is not, and it never will be.

Which is why it's irresponsible for reviewers to make it out like every single unit is affected. Techno Buffalo had a sensationalist article titled "ok, Google. Can you please stop selling the 2 XL."

Why can't people understand my point. Bad units happen... If you have one... Replace it... But making it out like all units are defective is just malicious.
